How the Pro Bowl Voting Works

Just to tell everyone the peoples vote does nothing it is just something the players and coaches can look at when making there vote. Those numbers on the websites show our votes which like i said means nothing. The players and coaches voted and for some reason they did not vote for

ey or Washington. I personally think they might be a little busy playing football to pay attention to every position on every team. I think it should be our votes should be the ones that count but then again that would make it even more of a popularity contest.

The process is a three-headed vote:
1/3 fans
1/3 players
1/3 coaches & GMs

O really what I have been seeing I thought they were saying the whole thing was players and coaches and it pretty much is all the coaches and players.

If that's true, then what's the point of the fans voting???
That's stupid.
I say, let the fans pick the starters and the players/coaches pick the reserves.

"How the Pro Bowl Voting Works "?????
I think we've seen time and time again that the Pro Bowl voting doesn't work. Every year, the same old has beens and media darlings get in, with little thought for those that play best, but talk less. It's the same highlight reel bull thinking that leaves Art Monk outside the Hall of Fame for the moment.

The way I understand it, it goes SOMETHING like this....
1. Fans vote and that counts as a thrid of the overall ranking for each player (Some fans vote only for players on their favorite team, Some will vote for the best players and others don't vote for all postions) Fans will vote numerous times for the same players as long as the voting is open. Once closed the ballots are counted and post for the world (this includes players and coaches who have yet to vote) to see on the web
2. Players vote and like the fan vote counts as a thrid of the overall ranking for each player (Most Players vote in blocks, meaning the players get together and vote -offensive players will vote for defensive players but not offensive players and the defensive players do the opposite. Players do not vote for players on their team) Some players will not vote for a certain postion in hopes that it will boost their players chances. All teams don't do it the same way but once the players have their list it goes to the coaches
3. The coaches vote counts the same as the players and the Fans but the have the outcome of both of those polls. I haven't heard from any coaches on how they go about making the chocies they make so I'm still in the dark on them.
The bottom line is .... Pro Bowl selection is a Joke.
People are upset because

ey didn't get in, well Chris is a H-Back and not a TE or FB, that's the reason I keep hearing to justify him not being on the list but I haven't heard anyone say there should be a slot for the H-Back on the roster (CC isn't the only HB and Gibbs isn't the only coach that uses a HB he's just the best)
I didn't know Zak Thomas was still playing let alone playing at a probowl level (and I live in Florida

)
I could go on and on.... maybe the NFL shoukd adopt the BCS format

Well, hopefully the players that didn't make it care. It won't do us any harm if people like Washington, Springs and Griffin are playing with a chip on their shoulders.
