Parcell's a Bitter Old Man

Is it me or has Parcells turned into a bitter, old man. I mean, what's up with the no handshake or obligatory "Good Game," even after Coach Gibbs waived at him? He just walked straight into the tunnel.

Bitter? Yes. Old? Yes. Man? No. Nobody that is associated with the Cowpies can be considered a man. Not even the cheerleaders.

Gibbs did pretty much the exact same thing to Bill last year.

What's the difference?

There isn't one.

What's the significance?

There isn't one... except that it likely means that both coaches understood how the other felt at the time and didn't feel the need to go through with the obligatory post-game facade speech to each other.

Parcells was rightfully upset. If his team had played with the same passion... it wouldn't have been 35-7.

My wife and I saw that. Couldn't believe that. My wife called him a baby. By the way, had to go to their web site and hear Parsnivel's post game. Yep.... My wife's right. Baby. Did have a smile while I listened.

Joe himself waved at Parcells to avoid the handshake. I have no problem with that. There is no need to make more out of this.

It is time to aim at the G-Strings

Wave back then

That was my point, Gibbs waived but Parcells didn't even acknowledge it.

I heard that they did shake hands after the wave. According to Washington Post.

Ditka was on espnradio this morning speculating that there is real bad blood between Gibbs and Parcells. Thought that was interesting he would say that. He is one of their peers.

I think we now know who the better rebuilder is, eh guys? Parcells is a joke, and he should be fired. The Pukes should hire Pete Carroll. Pretty Pleeeeeeeeeeease!!!!

I wonder if this has anything to do with the first game when they gave him the gatorade shower to celebrate an average win during the regular season.

As a huge Skins fan, I understood it, but as anyone else (including Parcells)..I might see that as pretty lame.

Maybe they did

Maybe they did shake hands after the cameras trailed off, but I didn't see it on TV.

Hey! I am as pleased as any of you guys. But I am not going to go overboard by diminishing an opponent because we won big yesterday When we put down the value of our opponent, we take merit from our victory. Think about it.

Parcells is not a bad coach, just like Andy Reid is not a bad coach, just like Joe Gibbs was not a bad coach last season when we were losing or just a few games ago.

By your logic, Coughlin would be a genius because the Gints trashed us earlier in the season. The NFC East is one of the toughest if not the toughest division on the NFL. There are no bad coaches in this division at present.

It always amazes me how a game or two swing the opinion of many fans from one extreme to the other. Perspective guys. Perspective.

Having said that, let us put Coughlin into perspective. Let's beat the living daylights out of the G-Strings!

the only thing that bothered me about parcells yesterday was his playcalling at the end of the game. I had to leave for my soccer game (i watched at home for as long as possible with out being late), so i was driving and listening to sonny and sam. apprently with like under 2 minutes left they keep going for the deep pass and what not, and sonny was so confused and upset as to why a coach like parcells would not just run the ball and end the game. It made no sense to me, just parcells being a stuborn old person i guess. I think it resulted in bledsoe throwing an int to that guy we signed to the active roster on saturday.

There is nothing to this at all. Just two competitive coaches going at it. We won the game what more do you want for Parcells to get on his knees and bow to the skins. Be happy we won.

Bill Parcells has been creating major cap problems for his successor while Joe Gibbs has been cleaning up the cap problems of his predecessor.

And yet, it's Gibbs who ends up sweeping Parcells on the field.

It's very clear to me who the better coach, and the better man is, an I'm glad he's on our side.

Great picture! The Gatorade shower came on a night Dallas was not treating as a "reagular ol game" they had basically homecoming atmosphere with Troy Emitt Irvin prancing around and I guess they shut the air off because the temp was out of controll over 100 plus it was monday night football and the Skins had not beat the cowboys in Tx for a rediculous amount of time. (Last image of Jeff George in my mind is him being dragged across the star by some dallas player and our offensive lineman just watching.sad)

are pretty good friends from all I've read. I think this is being blown way out of proportion.

It also came up in the Monday Press Conference by Joe. They did shake hands. Why is anybody trying to make something personal out of this?

It is a great rivalry. There is no personal animosity. They are professionals. They try to destroy each other teams. But they respect one another. Both have said so repeatedly over many years.

I have some perspective on this as I watched him closely as the Patriots coach. I personally can't stand the guy because he did many low-class things particularly at the end of his tenure. He has consistently shown its "all about the Tuna" and to hell with anyones else. He obviously was leaving the Pats before their Super Bowl drubbing at the hands of the Packers evidenced by him not flying home with the team. He also tried to railroad Belicheck into being his pawn-Coach as he ran the show at the Jets. To Belicheck's credit, he didn't let that happen and went on to not only emerge from Parcells shadow, but to completely outperform him as a coach.

These are just 2 major examples of his BS. Believe me, there was constant stuff going on that was reported in the local papers. It was a long time ago and the details are long gone from my feeble brain but the overall image I have of Parcells is that he is a pretty good, to very good coach, but he is self centered and will throw ANYONE under the bus if it fits his needs.

Thing is I was actually glad he became the Dallas coach so i could hate him even more

As you may guess, this win, which I was priviledged to witness first hand, was as sweet as it gets for me. That pic with him in front of the scoreboard showing the 35-7 score is just awesome. I predict he will not be with the Boys next year as he leaves yet another team in shambles.

Now we're done with him, lets get them Giants and revenge our loss!!!!

HAIL!
