I know we all love to critisize Ade Jimoh but now more than ever it seems that we will need him. He is definatly going to see some playing time and we need to be there for him on Sunday. No Boooooooo's or negative comments. We need him to feel like he's the best DAMN Cornerback in the league. This is only going to help us. So, as easy as it is for us to critisize, we need to support.

We can critisize later.

He's in a contract year, and he will need to play lights out to be on this squad next year.

I predict he will earn his big money contract against the Pukes on Sunday. :celebrate:

He's got my vote of confidence.

This is Cowboys week. If those guys can walk then they should be on the field playing. Sean Taylor has been playing all season with a partially seperated shoulder so I would hope that Springs and Harris can suck up the pain and play. Rogers, on the other hand, is in a sling so it doesn't look too good for him.

Free safety Sean Taylor has for the past 3 1/2 months been playing with a low-grade separation of his shoulder, suffered in the first game of the season. "Whether you call it a low-grade separation or a contusion, he practiced every day. He won't get treatment for it. He blocks out pain. He plays through it," assistant head coach-defense Gregg Williams said. "It's a testament to his toughness as a football player."

I'll take Jimoh over Walt Harris. Jimoh can tackle, and I always take the underdog...meaning I would rather see him, Dimitri Patterson or Garnell Wilds over Walt Harris.

I hope Rogers is okay.

I will refrain from any negative comments about Jimoh this week. It looks like we may need him to make a contribution, and I'll try sending positive vibes in his direction.

We should have never got rid of Garnell Wilds.

But we did and this is what we've got. Unfortunatly we can't sit here and critisize every move we made or didn't make. We have a chance to be in the post season and it all hangs on our performance against our rival. We need the backups to step up and work with the vets extra this week.

I agree. If Jimoh has to start at corner we are in big big trouble on Sunday. That changes the entire philosophy of the defense. We wont be able to blitz Bledsoe as much because we'll need to keep safeties deep to help Jimoh. Blitzing is the best way to beat Bledsoe because he is a statue back there. So our corners, unless seriously injured, need to step up and play through the pain. Other guys on this team have played through pain all season long so I hope that these guys realize how important this game is and come through for the team.

He deserves a roster spot. I mean, you go out from the practice squad and your first assignment is to cover Randy Moss, you do a good job and you are rewarded with walking papers?

I wonder if we can bring him back, or if there were other issues with him.

No, he's on Carolina's roster.

Jimoh starts at either corner and it's game set match for DAL.

I really don't care who they put out there this weekend. We just need everyone to give 100%. I heard a quote today on NFL films, "If 52 men give 100% day in and day out, then no one can stop us." I believe that. We will have some help out there for Jimoh if he starts. Possibly Matt Bowen or someone else in the secondary. Just be supportive and not so pessamistic.

Completely true. All of this bs about other corners on this team is comical. We should have never dumped Bailey and Smooty-- I know you Portis lovers are going to castrate me so I will back track and add that Steven Davis should have never been cut

Prioleau might play corner again. He did a fine job last Sunday if you ask me.

Right but the point is that if we need to give Jimoh help we wont be able to be as aggresive on defense. We need to be able to blitz Bledsoe and it's going to be harder to do that if Jimoh starts.

And my point is, What are we to do? Sit here and complain about it. Injury's happen. Its part of the game. We just need our backups to step up this game and contribute. All I am saying is we need to be supportive. We don't really have any other options.

Are you serious?
Yeah, lets keep a player who didn't want to be here.
Lets keep another player who wanted more money than he was worth. Last time I checked when Smoot was playing he was getting burnt and Minny went 4-0 when he wasn't starting.

One big  to the notion of keeping those two.

Last time I checked, when Smoot wasn't playing he was getting something. . .but it wasn't 'burnt' and it had to do with activities on a love boat. . .

gonorrhea, I guess Smoot just loves getting burnt.

He should start a club with Vick.

I am getting almost *no* sleep this week because he's likely to start.
Does that count as a vote of confidence ?

Jimoh had a pretty good game.
But safety Ryan Clark looked lost last week. If he's going to be on the field for anything other than special teams, he really needs to improve his game.

How healthy is Stoutmire? Maybe he needs to be released. He must be hurt, because he's not playing at all in the last 6 games.

Maybe a roster spot could be created by releasing him and signing Patterson. If he's banged up, no one will sign him.

We haven't had an injury at safety where we would need Stoutmire to play.

If any of our safeties are playing CB then they get a pass when it comes to coverage. Safeties are not fast and aren't made to keep up with WR's. They're mini linebackers.
