Game Balls
There were some guys that played really well today and some that need to step their games up a notch for the stretch run.
Offense-Clinton Portis
the guy is straight up beast that plays with a ton of heart. That td run got us back in the game and he ended the game by pushing that pile for 5 yards at the end of the game.
Defense-Sean Taylor
early turnover helped a lot and he made the tackle on Arrington on that 4th down play

And on defense, I think I might have to give it to Prioleau. The man stepped up today and played a lot more sound than he has all season.
Taylor and Rogers also played well today.

Taylor had a very good game over all, but a couple of ugly missed tackles that led to big yards. Great job on 4th and 2.
Ryan Clark had a terrible game.
Ade Jimoh with a HUGH tackle!!!!!!
I think I give the game ball to Prioleau. He was all over the place.

Portis ran tough all game. His run on 3rd and long for a 1st down on the last drive sealed the win. He gets a game ball from me. Demetric Evans' sack was huge...worthy of a game ball. Antonio Brown gets one, too. He almost broke a couple of earlier returns for TDs, but his return for a TD was the game winner. The entire kickoff return team gets one for that return....it was a huge hole. Also, got to give the refs a game ball for overturning a call that gave the cards a 1st down on a sideline pass play in the 4th quarter. The original call gave the cards a 1st down on a 3rd and 20, saying the receiver was "pushed out", but after conversing the refs overturned the call and said it was incomplete....a good call... and a huge call for us.

I'm changing my vote on D to Taylor. Taylor had the INT and game saving tackle with just over 2 minutes to go.
Prioleau still gets 2 thumbs up in my book today.

I think Portis for the offense and Brown for Special team is a given. My vote for defense goes to Carlos Rogers. He shut down a 1,000 yard receiver for so much of the game that he was not effective. Not bad for a rookie!!! I would break with tradition and also give one to Taylor for his game saving heroics.

Portis was huge today
Portis' touchdown - Portis's third down long yardage run where he pushed the pile forward - without Portis and Antonio Brown we lose this game. Portis showed a heck of a lot of heart today. Both get game balls.
On defense? No individual stands out, it was a very good team effort of the bend-but-don't-break variety, which was enough today. Pass rush was generally weak, again, and is still the defense's most glaring weakness. If it's not resolved, we will get killed by the better teams.

Offense - should go to all of our lineman. They did a real good job at blocking all day.
Defense - Sean Taylor that guy was a beast and he saved his game with that fourth and 2 tackle.
Antonio Brown shouldn't be given a game ball yet. I don't want him getting over confident. We need him to use his brain against these Cowboys.

Offense: Robert Royal - a big catch at the end when we needed to convert. He's quickly shrugged off the "goat" label.
Defense: Jimoh/Taylor - crucial hits in the 4th quarter showed that everyone on the defense is ready to play in December)
Teams: Antonio Brown - kisses right back at ya, Antonio.

Very funny Jake! I still don't want him getting over confident and try to break one and then fumble!

He might. I interviewed him at mini-camp and made him aware of the location of the story for his peeps to read at least 6 times.

For my game ball, I'm going with Mike Sellers. I'm not sure why he isn't getting the ball any more, but that play where he pulled CP down the sideline and then whipped him into the end zone was probably my favorite play on the season.
GO BIG MIKE!!
