Trying to Keep Calm.....

Sure, many folks out there are saying, "If the Redskins run the table......." when referring to our chances at the playoffs. Those same folks, some may suggest are just a bunch of naive homers who don't realize the Redskins have no chance of running the table. Others will suggest that the Redskins do have a solid chance of doing just that.

As for me, I can't remember the last time I was excited about a Redskins team after 12 games into the season. Usually, by now, I'm looking toward the following year and just hoping the Redskins don't embarass themselves too much when playing opponents.

This year is different.

While this team may not be the most consistent team around, it sure is exciting to watch this team play week in and week out.

Playoffs? Who knows if we're gonna make 'em. If we do, in fact, run the table, the Redskins will be one of the hottest teams entering the playoffs....and that, my friends, will make us very very dangerous.

Keeping hope alive here in Delaware!

I totally agree. Even if we dont make the playoffs I can definately say this has been my best season as a Skins fan. I dont want the season to end any time soon. I think our plays are totally amped up for these remaining games. Does anyone else sense a heightend level of play from this team after STL? I sensed most of the emotion coming from the defense but hopefully the offense can catch up. We need Brunell to light back on fire. We need him to start hitting Jacobs because HE HAS been open. Where is Santana? Being tripled teamed! How can nobody else be open if Santana is tripled? We need our linemen to take the task of blocking well outside of max protect and running a slot WR. Let them double/triple Moss and toss it to Thrash, Farris, Cooley, or Portis how can they not be open? These guys can catch out of the backfield! Let them blitz and dump it off on the screen?! Where is the creativity in this offense? Lets open it up, its now or never. Screw saving the good stuff till next season, lets use it now and get to the playoffs and get in there deep. Lets show them wut the Skins are about. We're better than Philty and the Giants.

Aggghhhhhh...it's such a difficult time to be a Redskin fan. I want them to win out sooo much but this doubt's always on my mind. It would be such a great Christmas present to see the team win out and get in tht playoffs.
When was the last time the end of the season was so exciting????
I can't wait for Sunday against the Cards. Hopefully we can shut them down and have some momemtum for the Dallas game.
WE CAN DO IT!!!! COME ON JOE, SHOW US WHAT YOU'RE MADE OF!!!!

To be honest Im moreso worried about this Cardinal game than Dallas. After the emotional win in Dallas I know that the 12th man will be in full effect and they wont be ready for us.

I truly love this that the Redskins are playing for more than pride at this point in the season. I am always 100% behind the Redskins no matter who they play or the record. I believe the Skins will do what they have to do in the next four games, so they can play more than sixteen games this season

So true...To have the Dallas game here in Dec and have it mean something will have the fans totally fired up!! But for that to happen WE MUST take care of business in Arizona!!

I think the Skins have been playing possum for twelve weeks, and we will turn it up over the next four and into the playoffs. In the Super Bowl, we will defeat the Colts.

Now that is a bunch of posts that I fully agree with.

I have been a fan since George Allen and love the fact that we have improved enough to still be "in the race" at this stage of the season. That is what some of us were expecting at both the return of Gibbs and after last year. We are still "getting there" but we are improving and that is what we were hoping for at the begining of this year.

I hope we get into the playoffs and it would be a (TRO)miracle to be in the SB against the Colts BUT we will be able to say we are better than the 2004 team (which a lot of people here doubted) and we can look forward to even more improvement next year!

This has been stressful, yes, but that seems to be part of our history and we should embrace it. We are the Washington Redskins - that is how it is with this team.

Beat Arizona

When I was born my Dad sang "Hail to the Redskins." and that was in '78. I've been a fan for 27 years and I can say that I have remembered better days than this as a Redskins Fan.

With that being said, today I am extremely excited where our team is at. I just want us to finish out the season with 1 loss or less. I am not asking for perfection but what I am asking for out of the Skins is to play smart. Play to win, not to not loose. And to mainly play smart. Don't make stupid penalty's at crutial points in the game..(holding,offsides,personal foul) If we can do this we will be fine. I will be happy. If we don't make the playoffs then I'm still ok. We have made an imporovement.

We've had a pass rush all along, we've just been saving it for now.

December was always Joe Gibbs' month. Anybody know what the Redskins' record was in December in Gibbs' first go round?

Right on!!! I mean, we've seen all the COlts can do, but the league has yet to see Joe open up his offense on youngins. The first victims will be the Cards, and we will steamroll the competition all the way to the Big Game!!!

Even last season, we were 3-2 in Dec/Jan.

There are a lot of "playoff teams" that would not want to play the skins in the playoffs. We play hard every week, we have talent, and, of course, we have a hall of fame coach who has led 4 team to the SB, and won three of them.
