Unlike most of you...I saw so many positives yesterday. I was one who did't think this game would be close, but the Skins came to play. I like what i saw from Carlos,Cooley,Rock,Marcus, but the one thing that stood out was the return of Corny, by far the most costly injury of the season. Corny gave us a great push up the middle and we saw the return of a pass rush.

Too bad those positives everyone keeps talking about does not lead to victories. In the end thats all that matters.

But, they DO give something to build on, or even motivate the team to execute flawlessly down the stretch. The playoff are still within reach!!!

This team has been "building" for the last 5 years!! I'm just so sick of having to "wait until next year!" every year!! Win some games already!! W's are the only positives that matter!! Losing close is still losing!!

Okay, enough venting. For now. :explode:

My favorite positive is that Carlos Rogers looked to have taken over the starting corner spot at corner...putting Walt Harris back on the bench where he belongs.

We can now see where we are weak...TE...DE....and we could use a veteran CB and depth at the DT position.

I think once Noble comes back next year...we have depth at D-Tackle if we can move Daniels inside (provided he isn't cut) he looks like a DT rather than a DE. If we can sign Robert Mathis, the top pass rush specialist, we will be okay.

Pray Sean Taylor beats his case and we could be looking at the best Skins team to date. I also hope Marcus Washington doesn't seek a better contract, he certainly deserves it.

:hmm: Who said anything about NEXT year. There are still five games remaining, and hopefully these guys can make up for ltheir mistakes against two conference foes, and their division rivals. Hopefully, they can put November behind them, and play lights out in December and beyond.

I have been saying for a while, Griffin is the reason our blitzes can work cause he takes up blocks, allowing others to get to the QB. Also Rogers may have won his starting job.

Sorry, and maybe it's just the pain of ANOTHER loss talking, but nothing about this 2-6 skid and 3-loss streak tells me there's going to be a turn-around real soon. This team is rapidly assuming the quitter/loser mentality we've seen so often the last few years. Good teams don't blow 4 quarter leads three weeks in a row.

Was Griffin still in the game during the fourth quarter? We didn't seem to get much pressure on Brees at the end there. We really need some d-line help. I did notice a big difference the first three quarters with him in the game.

I agree with you that there were some positives yesterday. The problem is that pretty much all of them were on defense. Taylor, Lavar, Carlos, Griffin, Marcus all played extremely hard and well. But the defense hasn't been our problem this year, except for maybe the Tampa Bay game. It's the offense that seems to be stalled and not showing any improvment.

I don't think anybody did any quitting yesterday. Yes, they blew it, but nobody quit.

THIS team has not building for five years though, has it? This team has been building for less than two years. And as Redeemed said, this year isn't over yet. Hang on in there - but you might be safe to book a holiday at the end of January.

Your right DEHog, Corny did bring back the pass rush... I guess I forgot about his return

But I also think Chris Clemons was part of the reason for the great pass rush, that guy is like Dwight Freeney (minus the sick spin move)

Hopefully he will replace Wynn.
