Mini-Milestone

Sunday marked the first time that I had seen the San Diego Chargers in person.

But more importantly, Sunday also meant that the Chargers became the 31st different NFL team I have seen play in person. That is, in a way, a testament to my longevity (it's been a long 18 years, folks) as a Skins fan.

I have met many amazing people and formed many bonds during my years of attending Skins games. It is an unbelievable experience to be able go to a Skins game (it's a lot better when we win).

If anyone's curious, the only team I have not seen in person is the Denver Broncos.

I'm so grateful to have a team to cheer for on Sundays and I would also like to thank my mom for getting me interested in football and taking me to games.

You are lucky guy tohave a mom like that Jake. Congratulations!

Now, if you could put all that experience to work as an educated sports journalist, you will make her and us proud.

Keep at it Jake. Education is the only way out towards a bright future.

Good milestone, I too have seen the chargers, but unfortunatly they were playing the Buffalo Bills at Ralph Wilson. You and I can also say we say a Charger comback and OT win for them. I saw a 27-24 in 02.

Did you ever attend any games at RFK? The way the fans could make that place literally shake was amazing. It was a house to be feared.

Yes. I've been to a few. My last game there was on my birthday against the New York Jets. I think the Jets were 1-15 that year.

I had a great view of Rod Stephens pushing Darrell Green into the endzone for the game-winning INT for a TD in overtime against the Lions in 1995.

Thanks to you also RIC....I've enjoyed every second of my game times with Jake....you're right though....I will be very proud when he reaches his journalist goals. He's already made me proud by having some articles published and of course I think he does great here at THN also. Thanks to Boss for giving him the opportunity.
