This guy kills us every week. He may have good stats this year but he just dosent have that certain something that the good ones have. That sparkle in the eye when its crunch time. Everytime he is handed the ball in the fourth quarter he just seems to come up short. Mannn oh Mannnn I cant wait for Jason Campbell to get some playing time. Ramsey is peice of terd too I hope they ship him out. We should pay somebody to take those two off the team. This team is an up and coming team. We are alot better off this year than last I must admit. When its all said and done you look to our leader in the offense and who is that Our Qb. And who is playing that position Brunell. He is an old fart. The future is now lets cut our losses and take our chances with Campbell already.

He makes plays, but he's not a playmaker! 194 yards a game ain't goint to do it!

What ignorant statements. Does Brunell call 5 yard hook patterns on third and long? Does he call 7 out of 8 drives 1st down runs? Does he send packages in with one wideout and send two out for the pass and one being RObert Royal? Does he place game plans that throw fly patterns all day one game and then throw 0 the next?
The truth is Brunell is simply following out exactly what Gibbs wants and that's NOT TO LOSE instead of aggressive winning football which is 2000 football. Ramsey and Campbell would last 3 series before Gibbs would hook them because they will force balls. And as we know that's a Gibbs No NO

If you think Brunell lost the game yesterday, you don't watch that much football.

Well put Dannyboysucks

, Brunell is playing exceptionally well..... and doing what he is told. Look at his stats in the games when we are behind in the 4th quarter and you will see he is passing for close to 300 yards per game. Our coaches only call for passing plays late in the game when we are behind, if we are ahead they simply try and sit on the ball and end up losing the game. You also can't blame Brunell for getting sacked, that's our offensive line's fault.
I admit, I hated Brunell last year, mostly because he couldn't throw an accurate 20 yard pass, but this year he is playing like the Pro Bowl quarterback that he is.
Something I have noticed though, have you watched a Colts game and seen how Peyton Manning goes to the sideline and talks with his receivers and figures out what are their best options? Why doesn't Brunell do this? It's part of why the Colts are 10-0.

Not true, look at the Raiders game...'Skins had the lead and only called a few running plays the entire second half, even though Portis was running effefently...

Like I said he does a little bit but he doesnt light it up. Im tired of mediocre Qbs this day in age we need excellent to win. Im talking about Farve like in his old days or even Elway like heck Mark Rypien like. If you can tell me he plays like that than ill except him. But I wont be satisfied until we are playing like the 91 skins. Brunell is just a quick fix but I am ready for the future I say we might as well get the wagon rolling and get Campbell in there.

The QB is the one player that is most visible and gets the blame or the credit. True, Brunell is just doing what he is told to do. Get better play calling and he will just do what he is told to do. Not meaning that part as criticism. I do agree with the original thread although for different reasons. One of the knocks on Brunell in his last years on the other team was that he didn't like to get hit. Can't blame him in that except, he is paid to take those hits. My criticism of Brunell is the number of thrown away plays, way to quick. In the previous game, he threw it away 3 consecutive times on the Redskins last possession. I just don't think Brunell has the stuff left to get it done when it is crunch time. For all of his impressive stats, they do not equate to wins. Someone mentioned Peyton Manning, if you will note, he finds ways to get it done. That is the difference between winning and loosing, getting it done.

Saying Brunnell sucks is just like saying Bill Clinton is innocent. This season Brunnell has racked up 35 points against the league's best defense, beat Dallas, Passed for over three hundred yards against the Broncos and the league's best defense, blew out San Fran, and other stuff. Chill out! Drink some beer. It does help!
Oh! One more thing. It wasn't Brunnell's fault that Royal dropped a ball that hit him in the chest on that 3rd and 5 play with 4:30 left in the game. I could blame Brunnel if he threw it into coverage, but Royal was WIDE OPEN.

Did you hear the announcer say "They're just not covering Royal out there"? Wonder why?

You call plays for the players you have, you can't call a 30 yard hook pattern with Brunell because it'll either hit the ground before it get's their or he'll float it & it'll get picked off!
Do any of you think Gibbs would be calling 5 yard hooks if he had a Brett Farve type QB?????? NO WAY!!!!!
That Giants & Cowboys bought Brunell another start!
I never said the loss was Brunell fault, but I'd be more confident if Eli was back there throwing the ball with the game on the line then I am with Brunell.
