I don't believe Frost is getting enough recognition FOR LOSING THE GAMES.
He is a terrible punter and I hope that he is cut tomorrow.
This may sound stupid but I truly think we should use our 3rd Round pick on Tom Malone (the punter from USC)
Now while you might think that using a 3rd round pick on a punter is absurd, think of it this way
-Tupa is old and will probably retire after this year
-Malone is very young and can be our punter for the next 15 years
-He is strong and always accurrate and won't need time adjusting to NFL Speed.
I honestly believe picking him would be a great pick up.

Hopefully tomorrow there will be a few changes, a new punter, a new starting TE, and a new playcaller. I live up here in Philly, but have season tickets as I was at the game today. On the way home, which took a good 4 hours with traffic, the Redskins and their play-calling were the laughing stock on the sports radio shows all afternoon, and rightfully so. Also, on the Redskins post-game show, they made the comparison of the two punters today, and it was said that there was only a difference of .4 yds/punt avg between the two... that was because the Chargers punter was trying to pin us deep the whole game (which there were at least two fair catches inside the 10 the Redskins made) while our punter was kicking from our 20, and barely reaching past midfield. If any of you were around for the halftime show, maybe they will pick up one of the winners of the Punt,Pass, & Kick competition.

There was one punt from the SD 25 and Antionio rown fair caught at the 21.
At the end of the game up 17-10 Frost gave them good field position twice.
WAS 22 to the SD 45.
Then from WAS 30 to the SD 33.

I've said it two weeks in a row...
http://www.the-hogs.net/content/story.php?id=601Derrick Frost is a liability. His first three punts were good for an average net gain of just 32 yards, the last of which gave San Diego the ball at their 43-yard line. That fie ld position resulted in San Diego's first scoring drive of the afternoon and put them ahead 7-3.
And those three punts were better than his fourth; that one was good for 23 yards. Joe Gibbs plays a ball control offense and this guy Frost is just throwing away yards. He finished up with 9 punts on the afternoon and grossed less than 38 yards (37.9) for an average. That just isn't good enough as a net, let alone as the gross. He couldn't even down the ball inside the 20-yard line when he kicked from the Chargers side of the 50-yard line.
Walking papers should be imminent. Mr. Frost should be unemployed Monday morning.
http://www.the-hogs.net/content/story.php?id=596Frost-y. Doesn't anybody else see what a handicap Derrick Frost is right now? The only good kicks he has are the ones that bounce twenty yards, but thank goodness he appears to get nearly every single fortuitous bounce. It was another stunning 36.2-yard performance... and that's gross yardage folks... not net yardage. Gross indeed. If the bounces ever stop going his way then he should be good for about a 20-yard average.
:-"
The guy is costing us valuable yardage in a system requiring that you win the field position battle.
Groom was inconsistent, but I think his worst punts were equal to Frost's best... and he can bang it 55+ if he catches it right. The ONLY 50+ yarder I remember Frost having was from the 50... so it meant a net punt of 30 with the touchback... the one time you don't want to kick it 50 yards.

Really? Giving our opponent great field position EVERY game is not important?

... but he did such a great job of holding for Hall on the 53 yarder that came up short!
Sorry.
