Draft

Gibbs is paying the consecuenses by not drafting M.Williams, we all saw T.Jacobs didn´t do anything vs the Raiders, we could've had an awsome dou with Moss and Williams but no Gibbs went to draft a CB which has played average to this point, I hope in the future he becomes an allstar but so far Willims would it had more impact, the only WR who has td´s for the Redskind is Moss.

Where would we be if we hadn't drafted Rogers? We've been short at DB all year. Now that we are light at WR it's because of the dradt?
What has M. Williams done?

Indeed, what has Williams done? I suspect the only area where he would have made a greater impact than Rogers is on the salary cap.

well said. The addition of Williams would just of meant we would be short another DB. It would not have made us win the close games.

Hey man, I wasnt really impressed with Jacobs perfomacne either, he didnt create any seperation, but that was one game where he got some real PT, let's give him a another week.... at least 1 more.
As for Carlos, that kid is good. He's a rookie, he hasnt played as much as I thought he should and still hits hard and plays great coverage for a DB. So if we had mike instead, we'd be stuck with just harris at #2... not good. I think were okay, especially cuz of the way Moss turned out.

So far, Rogers suits me fine. In fact, the only problem I have with him is I'd like to see him out there more than I do.

Agree with you 100%. Our corners are both getting older, and we needed an influx of fresh, young GOOD corner talent. Rogers fits the bill.

Rogers doesn't even start, Williams has no one throwing the ball to him. The one game he started he got almost 100 yds. Which is more than anything Rogers has done. Rogers showed up to camp out of shape and is still out of shape. Mike also looked pretty good against the Falcons 84 yds. That is two good games by Mike to Rogers none. Lets be realistic, drafting Williams was a no brainer and we weren't smart enough to even realize that.

Drafting Williams would mean that we lose games by 7+ points rather than the close ones that we have. That and our salary cap is stretched once again for a position that is easier to find quality than at corner.
Rogers was the best pick at that spot. Argue it all you want, but a top corner is harder to find than a quality wide out.

What ever you say, the Portis deal was dump because it is harder to find a top corner than a top running back.

Taylor has had one game to prove hiself, last week, Mike williams would have been 3rd reciever at best and probabley 4 or 5 he would have hardley saw the field this year simalar to Taylor.

I agree with you that a top corner is harder to find than a top receiver. However, I'm not at all convinced that Rogers is going to turn into a top corner. He's shown pretty good tackling ability but I don't think that he has the speed to be a top corner in the NFL. On the other hand, I also don't think that Mike Williams is going to be a top receiver either.

We have a rookie cornerback, who gets in on 1/4 to 1/3 of all defensive downs, and you never hear his name. Don't you have any idea what that means?

It means to me that he has blanketed the receiver he is covering and thats why your not hearing his name. You don't want to here your corners name. As for our wide outs. I think Joe will go there this year but only after he has addressed the pass rush of the front line. Just my opinion.
