I agree that we will beat the chargers.

I don't see us losing at home back-to-back. I
realize that they are in the hunt also, but I think we will beat them at a very close game similar to the philty game.

Skins are tough at home and I think this year they have a lot of pride. Just a hunch. I guess we'll see come Sunday.

I had this one as a L. One of two I thought we'd lose at home. I see no reason to think differently now. This is a "big play" O and we seem to specailize in giving up the big play this year. I hope I'm wrong but I don't see us winning this one...sorry?

thank you DE... what have you seen the last 7 weeks makes you think that the skins are going to beat a very good chargers team. they are twice as good as the raiders... they run the ball better, they pass the ball better, and they get after the QB relentlessly... meanwhile, brunell has regressed, and teams are (as i stated would happen) doubling moss because not one other skins' WR strikes fear in a secondary. only way the skins win this is for the chargers to completely fall apart and the skins actually capitalize on those mistakes.

I think the skins will win because they will play the way they are capable of playing, not because the chargers will disintegrate.

This game is definitely a prelude to the playoffs. If we plan on going to the off season, we must prove it now!

Anything other than our best performance will simply not do. [-o<

The only way we win this game is to do the same thing every team needs to do in the NFL to win...run the ball and stop the run. That being said they have the best home run hitter in the league in LT.

As my middle school football coach once said: "ONE MAN CANNOT BEAT AN ENTIRE SQUAD". I like LT, but I'm standing by our guys to step up now that their backs are against the wall.

Plus, if the Skins lose, Joe v.2.0 will be 0-10 against AFC teams, if I'm not mistaken. This year has been the year of streak breaking (see Dallas game, Eagles game), and these guys know how to get it done.

As always, the team will need the twelfth man. Have at it people!!! The team needs you.

Sadly, I will miss the game while flying back from Thanksgiving in California. I'm hoping for a Thanksgiving gift from the Skins upon my return.

It starts to sound like a broken record.
They have to protect the football.
You only get so many chances to score in a game, and we manage to give other teams opportunities. I heard on the radio that every fumble leads to an average 4.5 points and every INT leads to an average 5.5 points. You can't give points away.
Turnovers have killed this team.
That said, this Chargers team can be beaten. One game at a time.

haha Redeemed... have you watched any of the Skins' games lately?? IF it's the redskins ONE man can surely beat them... hmmm... Jerry Porter? Chris Simms? Tiki Barber? Tatum Bell? Sunday likely won't be any different. The Skins have glaring personel weaknesses and until they fix those problems and play more consistantly they awill be what they are a .500 team. There isn't a switch to just to that, it has to happen over time and the skins hopefully will adress this in the offseason.

You're very right, BUT I was referring to the guy doing it all by himself. Porter doesn't catch the ball without Collins throwing it to him. Alstott doesn't get into the endzone without help from the zebra in the booth. Barder can't win without help from a dead man.

My point is, if our d steps up and performs there individual assignments to the "T", LT2 will be contained. He needs the other parts of his team to work properly, and we are more than able to throw a wrench in those parts.

I'll be surprised if our offense comes up with 17 points... defense is going to have to be big this week...

17 points sounds fine to me, as long as our defense holds them to 16 or less. A victory over the Chargers will require a total team effort. If we execute our offense correctly, and our defense plays to the level they are capable of playing, we can TOTALLY win this game.

REDEEMEDSKIN, your middle school football coach was wrong. LT can beat a whole squad. He has done it a couple times this year, just not tomorrow!!

Run the ball and stop the run. What like we did the past two weeks. We need to stop freaking turning the ball over. And actually getting a little preasure on the QB wouldn't hurt either, so maybe they turn the ball over. If we win the turn over battle we will win! If we don't...

Philly did a great job stopping the run against the Chargers.

One thing though, the Chargers still have weapons in Gates,Mccardell and Brees.

The Chargers still won that game through the air and it took not one but TWO "MIRACLES" for the eagles to pull off that win.

Your chances of winning the lottery are better than seeing another NFL team block a field goal and then run it all the way back. Then the chargers drove 60 yards with a little over a minute to put them in scoreing position AGAIN just to hvae the WR fumble the ball.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen but I hope the redskins are feeling lucky :D cause that's what it's going to take.

My point is this, LT is NOT the only weapon the redskins have to worry about.

Here's to no injuries though! :D

Chargers 34

Redskins 17

This was the only home game I projected as a loss before the season.

That doesn't mean I won't be there on Sunday screaming as loud as ever tho.

Hey Shocku....Welcome!

And you said weapons in Gates, Brees and McCardell. How is gates anyways? First, I heard he's out for a couple of weeks. Now I'm hearing he's day to day. Whats the deal on his ankle?

By the way....by mentioning your other weapons it seems like you are already excepting the fact that LT will get ruled this Sunday. I appreciate that! I really do!

I don't see the Skins winning on sunday. Last week against the raiders the offense fail to score a TD and next sunday, it's gonna be harder (not even mentioning the turnovers issue). Also, without any pressure to the QB, the chargers have by far more weapons than the raiders have.

BUT, I'll be watching and routing hard for my Skins team to beat the chargers and avoid having another "ex-coach comes to DC and rubs it on Danny" hoopla all over again.

The Skins have been spiraling downward in recent weeks so I gotta agree with DEHog on this one. If they pull out a victory, I will be very pleasantly surprised!!

You people do not have a feel for Joe Gibbs under these circumstances.

My buddy TCWest came up with the thought of a pleasant gut feeling and you know what? I agree. Joe is best when he is between a rock and a hard place.

WE WILL WIN. (and we as fans will be sending back the rats/trolls back to their holes)

The Redskins will win on Sunday. I have foreseen it. And I am never wrong. Except for the occasions when I am not right.

Same old broken record: run the ball, protect the ball, stop the run, and put the opposition qb on his backside from time to time.

Well here's the rock and the hardplace this Sunday...I believe this game is our season. We win and we're in we lose and we're a .500 ballgame which is still a improvemant and a step in the right direction.
