Offense lost the game today

The Redskins offense looked like ass today.
The line offered no protection whatsoever. They made an average defense look like superstars.
The defense came up with some big stops at times, and they had a hard time generating pressure, but make no mistake,
the offense lost the game today, and the blame goes 100% to the lack of line play.

Agreed.
Other then the D-line generated no pressure what so ever, they played pretty well.
We can stop the run, but come on, atleast get a hand in the guys face.

I thought it was terrible play calling in the second half!!!The coaches put way to much faith in jacobs today. The defense held the raiders to two straight field goals and when the offense got on the field three and out, ball right back to the raiders!!!One drive we had a 2 and 1 and we ran the ball(that was one free shot down field)Picked up the first down and then a short yardage play and instead of trying to find cooley, moss, sellers or portis we try and hit jacobs on a bomb(How do you chew the clock up and keep the raiders off the field like that!!)I hate the short hitch plays but it would have been perfect for the blitzing raiders or sticking more to the run game.Anyway it seems we just find ways to lose!!!

the line play was ATROCIOUS. how can you expect robert royal to block derrick burgess, a former pro bowler and a pretty good end, when jon jansen can't pancake him? i just dont see the point in lobbing 4 go routes up to TJ either, that was horrible. yeah you're trying to take advantage of man coverage, but it doesnt work if the man covering him is faster and more talented, that's just a recipe for disaster. i think joe needs to go back to calling his own plays and we need to generate some pass rush somehow...matt bowen at linebacker/DE, what?!

I thought Jacobs was suposed to have blazing speed? I didn't get to watch the game (wasn't on tv in our area), couldn't he get seperation?

Not really, but the guy covering him all day is pretty fast in his own right.

They definately tried to go deep with Jacobs a bunch of times. Never worked.

lord, they kept trying that deep sideline pass from the second quarter on... have we completed that pass yet this year, or last year for that matter? That play just doesn't seem to work with smallish receivers... the deep crosses and come back patterns seem to work way better... I think they saw those corners up close all day and figured they had to be able to get one by 'em... I don't know if the blame there goes on play calling or decision making... they seemed to move the ball fine early on throwing the underneath stuff... I love opening it up once in a while, but that play just wasn't working...
