Right here man. Portis was the only bright spot offensively today. He only had one fumble all year until today. No reason to crap all over him, he put up 92 yds while the rest of the offense did nothing. He played hard but made a couple mistakes. This is a team game and his teammates didn't step up to cover for him today. He played his guts out as usual and ran hard.

What happens for 10 or 15 minutes during the week doesn't have anything to do with what happens on the field. He went 9 games without a fumble. Everybody was all on his jock last week when he had 150, now he is a dog, come on MAING!!!!
His fumbles don't have anything to do with blown coverages and no pass rush....
Yes turnovers are bad but those turnovers didn't kill us. We still had a chance to win. When the play calling is soft and O-line can't block, this is what you get.

I'm here too.
I only saw the last qtr. but it seemed to me that Portis should have gotten the ball more.

Okay, so he's not Riggins...or even Alstott, or Betts for that matter.
We got him for Champ. He's made me very happy in the past, and I think he'll continue to do so again.
I think he had damn near 100 yards again today.
What's your point, son ?

I haven't been a Portis lover but this is just one game. He has been solid this year. He is not the problem.

I'm a portis fan...I like guys who can get over 1300 yds in a year but not really play 2-3 games...i like guys who are on pace for well over 1000 yds again this year...two fumbles are bad, but tiki barber had a real fumble problem, the giants worked with him, and you know what, he's on his way to a pro bowl...and here's the biggest revelation---clinton portis is every bit as good, if not better, than tiki barber...
as for his costumes, who cares? i think it's great--portis is making himself the story in a GOOD way...he's taking heat for his mistakes, he's becoming something of a spokesperson for the offense, and he's interacting with the fans...i'm cool with that, i don't really know why someone wouldn't be, but hey, everyone's entitled to their opinion...

While they don't directly contribute to blown coverages and such, the fumbles swing the field position advantage to opponents, and for this offense, that is crucial. We cannot turn the ball over, even if he runs for 300 yds in the previous game. He cannot get a free pass because of a pretty costume or funny interview.
I'm not hatin' on him, but I can't ignore the fact that his fumbles (not Clinton) ruined the flow of the offense and kept the Faiders in the game. I want him to regain his form, and play consistently throughout the remainder of the season.
The same goes to the rest of the team.

So whats your "Warm-O-Meter" for Lavar this week. You've been claiming that you were 'warming up' to Lavar, I think its pretty clear that you can retract all your disparaging remarks about Lavar, he is proving that not only is he MUCH better than Holdman, but he is one of the 3 best players on our defense.

It takes a big man to post negative posts whenever something goes wrong and not take his medicine when things aren't going as bad.

Exactly.
This guy will not quit, He'll come back to hate on his own team whever he can, stir up some crap and then leave. But when the SKINS finally become consistant and do well, he'll still find a negative comment to make.... You cannot do anything to help people like him. He'll be good at piss'n people off. (like me) I hope to see you at the field on day dominhate, it'd be nice to argue in person.

You wouldn't recognize him in person, cause he'd be wearing a Cowboy's jersey.

Portis has done everything that has been asked of him. He runs the ball well, blocks, catches passes and has even saved a touchdown after yet another Brunell fumble. If you want to complain about fumbles, look to Brunell.
