Wow, this would do in the Eagles.
This would make the Jan 1 game a lot easier!

What would really be drama is if McNabb goes down, and T.O is reinstated...if he lead the team to the playoffs should they keep him and re-do the deal.

I think this is the icing on the cake for the eagles this season.

I can't believe we're talking about taking a team lightly when we just got burned by a rookie qb. The guy they have starting made a really nice throw to their wideout that was dropped, at the end of the Monday Night Game. Would have had them in range for the go-ahead field goal. I have a hunch he may suprise some.

Whomever is the QB for Philthy will be up to speed by then. A sluggish McNasty might have been easier.

I don't see T.O. back in a E-Gals uni ever again, regardless what happens on Friday

I was asking myself the same question.

Jeremehiah Trotter seems to think otherwise. But if they did, Andy Reid would look like a weakling.

If you remember - McNabb won a game with a broken leg. A Sluggish McNabb beat the Redskins several times.
I will take a back up any day.

I agree, although McMahon does not have a very good record in the NFL that doesn't mean he's a bad QB. If I'm not mistaken, he played for the Lions and you know how awful they are. He is very mobile and he can definately add that run threat that McNabb didn't have this year. Remember, the Eagles won with Feely before who is just a terrible QB. I think McMahon will surprise a lot of people, I still don't think they have much of a chance but they aren't finished.

you knew it was a matter of time before he had enough.
just makes you wonder when he celebrated in the end zone during that one td he had monday night.
beginning of the end for the eagles but you never know in todays nfl.

From a fantasy football site. Looks like McNabb is now "confirmed" to miss the rest of the season:
Donovan McNabb, QB PHI
News: Eagles head coach Andy Reid told the media on Monday that QB Donovan McNabb will have surgery on his sports hernia and will likely miss the rest of the season. Mike McMahon will continue to be the Eagles starting quarterback.

this is the smartest thing for them. now he can rest and rehab in plenty of time for '06. and they can deal with the t.o. situation.

SO do you bring back T.O. Since McNabb was his problem, do you bring him back now that he's out???
McNabb placed on IR

It's official.
Placed on IR along with Lito Sheppard today. Not that anyone really thought he would return once they were out of contention.

Now he can get the sports hernia surgery.
I wonder if he goes to Germany to get it done by that doctor with all the success or if he gets it done here?
