Where are all you Brunell haters now?

I remember earlier in pre-season everyone was complaining about how Lavar and Brunell just need to get out and put that part of our history behind us. Now Lavar is making plays and Brunell is on FRICKIN' fire, I just want to make sure that all the Brunell haters are silenced...go skins.

I was a Brunell hater, even up to week 2 of the season.
I thought Patrick played great the 2nd half of last year and deserved a shot.
I mean, before Mark lead that comeback against Dalas, what had he done, really?
Now I put 100% Trust in Mark Brunell, but I am still a fan of Patrick Ramsey and the rest of the Redskins.

We get one of these threads about every other week. They are utterly useless.

I wasn't a Brunell hater at all....that is until he tried to run for the freakin' 1st down on 4th down against the Bucs...instead of just throwin' up a prayer.
Kidding, of course.
Brunell is still my boy this year.

Brunell has played really well but he has to get his fumbling problem under control. He is a veteran and should know by now to tuck the ball in when he runs.

Brunell has done a great job this season. He hasn't thrown many INT's, but I would have liked to have seen him at least throw the ball on 4th down. He has to realize that he cannot run 10 yards with 3 defenders within 2 yards of him. Besides that though, he (and Moss) are responsible for the resurgance of our offense.

I too was drinking hatorade...
I thought that I'd see Heath Shuler come out of retirement and lead the Skins to wins before I would Mark Brunell. I was wrong. He's managing the offense well, and is operating the system as well as a quarterback in DC has since Brad Johnson back in 1999.
With that said... The pick he threw was a terrible ball, and if he doesn't learn to tuck the ball when he takes off I'm going to hop back off of the bandwagon. He still has 434 get out of jail free cards to use though, which should last him at least through the season...

I have a better question. Where were all the Brunell lovers last year? I can name only one.
Joe Gibbs

I assume Brunell is not self-loathing ... his wife is probably fond of him as well

OK, here you go for the record. We haven't gone away, we are putting up with a timebomb that we know WILL go off, and as timebomb logic goes, at the worst possible time.
I have no idea if you remember Billy Kilmer or not. He was perhaps the WORST example of a quarterback the NFL has ever produced. EVERY time he went under center Redskin Nation held it's collective breath. We tolerated him because he was who the coach chose as our QB. That didn't make watching him any easier.
Those who do not know history are DOOMED to repeat it. Tell me, how many Super Bowl vicories did Kilmer and his "dead duck falling through the air" passes get us? NONE, he got us the (STILL) most embarrasing super bowl moment (Mike Bass and that hated Dolphin funny thing happened on the way to a perfect season moment).
Moral of the story? Sit back and watch Brutal will do as Brutal has done in the past.

And, I guess since Kilmer never won a Super Bowl, that makes Dan Marino a pretty pathetic QB too, huh?

So we should put in Ramsey?

Any time you want to send Brunell back we'd sure take him and send you Fumblewich. Brunell could do a lot more with this team than he could with the pitiful talent he had when Jack Del Zero sent him packing. Give credit to Gibbs for recognizing his skills. Brunell got killed in Jax his last couple of years and lost his confidence. He never lost his skills.

Welcome to the site...
Mark would still need someone to throw it to.

I was never either for or against Brunell...and I'm still not, really. I think whoever is best suited for us to win ought to be throwing the ball.
Having said that, my feeling is that this is his last best year. It's a fluke.
