Lavar had Alstott lined up, Clark hit him sideways and lavar couldn't change direction in mid air. Check out the replay. Lavar also said this on 980 on the JT Show. He didn't make an excuse or blame Ryan, he just said that Ryan was going full speed. Damn, why does the ball always bounce in the wrong direction.

Come on man! Stop spreading "blame" around. The TEAM lost. Ryan did his job. If it was up to me, he would have played MORE not LESS on Sunday.
Go Ryan!

I think it was due to the fact that they just cut the field on saturday. If the grass had been taller, Alstott wouldn't of gotten to the goaline as quick.

He never got to the goaline. Everyone did their job and stopped Alsott. The media is even saying Alsott didnt cross and a Cowboy said he didnt cross, two things that never really support the Skins both say he didnt cross. I even have video on my computer I studied many times and he never crossed.

I love it when some one thinks they are making an intelligent observation reagrding one player on one play costing the team the game. Any informed fan can see that Portis cost the Skins the game by not gaining 2 yds on 3rd down to run out the clock. Oh wait, no it was Brunells' fumble at the 5 yd line, or was it the pass that Koz could not hold onto at the 30yd line to put the Skins in field goal range at the end of the game.
One player does not cost you a game on one play.

Thank you, this one of the few posts worth replying to since Sunday.

Not only does one player not cost us the game, but of all the players you could single out, Ryan Clark is not the first that comes to mind.
This loss goes down as a team.
The Special Teams could have pinned Tampa deeper on the 38 yd punt by Frost.
The Offense could have taken care of the ball a bit better and gained 2 yards on 3rd and 2.
The coaches could have called a better game (perhaps electing to play action pass on 3rd and 2 or not blitzing Simms on 3rd and 11 with your best coverage corner).
The defense could have thwarted a rookie QB and not allowed 36 points.
There is enough blame to go around to the whole team.
It's over, and the only team we can worry about now is the Raiders.

Gregg Williams cost us the game.

one could argue the other way. clark had come around the corner, hit alstott and had his arms wrapped around him. when arrington came flying over the pile, he knocked clark off alstott. who knows, if arrington doesn't hit alstott, maybe clark takes him down before he 'gets in'.

We are 5-4 guys. One game out of 1st place with home games remaining against BOTH division leaders. We can win this division and go to the playoffs.
Heck, we can get a first round bye considering the best record in the conference is only 2 games better with 7 games to go.
The first step to doing that is to BEAT OAKLAND.

Joebagadonuts cost us the game... look at that avatar... all that pastry, and not a single Krispy Kreme. What's with that. It's stuff like that that makes us suck.
