I Am So Upset...

My stomach is churning constantly, my head beats with insanity, I'm upset. This loss to the Bucs made me so SICK. I don't know what it is but after one game, "The Redskins are fading as usual". Bull Shizznit, just because we lose by ONE point doesn't make us a bad team, Dallas only WON by ONE point but yet they are going "All The Way." Is anyone just sick? Is anyone else tired? I love this team and I know we aren't a pushover, but like I've always said Sunday's the best medicine from last weeks loss. Go Skins...

I was very sick

still angry, but in the NFL things shake up every week. The Skins still control their own destiny. We can define what type of team we have. 12-4 or 11-5 should get us in, but we have to take care of business on our end.
I am not losing faith in the team because there are 7 games to go. We are only one game out of the division lead. The Eagles are virtually out with 5 losses. We have a good shot to when the division.
We get the opportunity to play the Pukes (division leaders) at home. And we get the chance to play the Giants (other division leader) at HOME!! That is huge.
All we need to do is put this behind us and take care of business. The playoffs don't start tommorow. We have to win the next game and the next game only. Who knows...if we win next week and the Giants and Pukes lose, we are in first place (or tied for it)
You never know, but the only standings that count are those at the end of the season.

One game at a time, we'll get there. Does anyone honestly see Norv Turner outcoaching Joe Gibbs, Joe Bugel and Gregg Williams?

Call me crazy, but it feels like the playoffs already started!
Maybe playing a crucial game at Tampa that went down to the wire brought on deja vu, but it felt like January! I forgot what "meaningful games" feel like. Have we really only played nine this year?

NO. But thats what makes it so painfull when stuff like that happens! Loving the Skins is like loving some Horrible B!tch Goddess. You know its going to end badly but you cant stop being interested. Crazy stuff always happens to our boys. They are like football "truisms". For example... You KNOW mike alstot is always going score two 2 yard TD's against us. Or, you KNOW there is always going to be a horrible call go against us. Or you KNOW we will dominate a game statistacally yet (insert cornerback name here) will give up a Long bomb with little time remaining. ahhh the joy of football. I do still have faith in the skins though. We do play both division leaders at home and our team is clearly better than it has been in some time. GO SKINS!

I hate to be like Woody Paige here but LOOK AT THE SCHEDULE GUYS!!!:
Cowboys: Current Record 6-3
Remaining Games
Detroit W
Denver L
Giants W
KC L
Redskins L
Panthers L
Rams W
This will put the Cowboys at 9-7 for the year.
Giants: Current Record 6-3
Remaining Games
Eagles W
Seahawks L
Cowboys L
Eagles L
Chiefs W
Redskins L
Raiders W
This will also put the Giants at 9-7. But they will lose in the tiebreaker to the Cowboys thus leaving the G-Men out of the playoffs.
Redskins: Current Record 5-4
Remaining Games
Raiders W
Chargers L
Rams W
Cardinals W
Cowboys W
Giants W
Eagles L
With this the Redskins win the division with a 10-6 record.
I think at worst we will be 9-7 which still puts us in an above average position to win the division.

I, as anyone who was there in GameDay knows, was absolutely disgusted with the manner in which we lost.
We can do better, and have to build on this, somehow. There can be some real character-strengthening to be had from this loss. Betts certainly came to play, I'll give you that. Patten (who is no longer an issue now) did not.

I'm not sure if he outcoached them or not but his team got the win.
