Two Non-Negative Things I Got From This Game

One, i think Sean Taylor is the heart and soulf ot his defense. I didn't see the same good play nor attitude I have seen in the past. He went up in my eyes.

Second, Joe Salave'a is now one of my favorites. First Noble, then Griffin, he was the man in the middle of the line and he did his job. He was a beast and stepped up when we needed him. I hope however we used him, we continue to use him like when Griffin gets back. Next week, I'd almost keep Griffin out to heal totally just because Salave'a's strong play.

Comments please.

I completely agree with the sean taylor sentiment. If taylor is out there those long passes never happen. he is big enough and fast enough to cause major disruption on every play. Go Sean Go!! Need him back on the field.

No doubt, our defense is missing Taylor and Griffin BIG TIME. I think Griffin has hurt us the most. We can't lay a finger on the QB without him, and the blitzes aren't getting close.

I agree 100%. This game just showed me how good Taylor is and Salave'a made a huge play right when we needed it. Another non-negative is that the offense was great in the second half.

Yep...injuries are a part of the game, but it really hurts when two (Pro-Bowl caliber) players are not on the field.

On every pass play it looks like Phillip Daniels and Reynaldo Wynn are slow dancing with the offenseive tackles of the opposing team.

So frustrating.

Griffin is so important to our defense. When you blitz, the blitzers should go freely to the target. The rest of the defensive players are supposed to take up blocks, Griffin always gets a double or triple team because he can just get into the backfield so well, add Joe Salave'a and they take up about three or four blocks making it easier to blitz.

Man, I forgot about Griffin.

Dang, if he was there on the 2 point conversion Alstott would have had a lot tougher time getting in.

How pathetic it is that we can't have 1 or 2 players injured (taylor and griffin) and the rest of the defense completely sucks. No depth whatsoever.

Showing up after a loss like this? That is surprising...

Salave'a was awesome, he laid out Cadillac big time and caused that fumble, and then stopped Alstott in the backfield on another play, he played great, and it seems that he is having a good time out there too.

Is a "non negative" the same as a positive, or is it somewhere in between?
The only positive I can think of is that the team played a whole game. The offence and the defence both played a half each.

I think he means positives. Here's one: Mike Sellers has clearly worked his way to becoming a scoring machine.

He'll be downright nasty in the playoffs!!!

True enough. Sellars has really turned it on this year. Should be a place at the Probowl for team players like him.

my comment is that salave'a needs a bigger helmet. it looks like they poured his head into that thing.

once corny is back, i think we can expect some negative overall rushing numbers from our opponents.
