Defensive Delay of Game Call

I wasn't sure how the ball got close enough for the Sucs to attampt a 2-pt conversion, and then I find out we got a defensive delay of game flag. How did THAT happen? While watching the game, I thought the flag was for a false start. Was someone out of position?
This is the craziest call I've heard in this type of situation since the "leaping" call a few years ago. Did we really commit a violation on that play?

Yes and TB declined it...I'm guessing thier kicker wanted the room to kick as to not be to close. I thought theymight accept and go for two...Imagine in they take the penalty and then take the offsides they've been on the 1/2 y ard line!

OKay, two more questions:
a) where is the ball placed on the extra point? Where is it spotted? (Funny to think how I don't know that by now, I know)
.
b) Why was the penalty called? (I know it's irrelevant, since it was declined, but, I must know.)
I'm not sure why they declined. That way the refs would not have resorted to fixing the outcome. Alstott would have really crossed the plane.

The ball is at the 2 yard line for point afters and two point conversions. The penalties were both half the distance to the goal, so they got to try for 2 from 1/2 yard out.
Even better question..how the heck do you get a delay of game penalty on the defense

What about the one where we had our S/T unit making "illegal cadence" against Dallas. That one was classic!

I believe it's the 2 1/2 yards line which is why TB got te he ball inside the one for the two-point try

Watch the Monday Joe Gibbs Press Conference on Redskins.com. He says THERE WAS NO OFFSIDE. That was a wrong call too! The center moved the ball that is why our guys took off.
The more I know the angrier I get. What a frustrating game. Watch the interview. Joe is as frustrated or more than all of us. Geeeeeez!

There were two penalties:
First - delay of game on our defense. TB excepted and the penalty and it was enforced on the kickoff.
Second - offsides (when we blocked the kick) and since the ball is placed on the 2 and a half for every normal PAT the ball was moved half the distance to the goal (or the 1.25 yard line)
By the way Gibbs just said that after reviewing the block, they don't think that any player was offsides. The snapper lifted or double clutched the ball and that is when our guys went. So if any penlty should have been called it should have been a false start. Funny thing is, is that would have negated the block too, because there is no play on a false start!

True indeed, but that backs them up to the 8 instead of putting them on the 1/2...id like to see them go for two on that one.
