Does anyone on this site that is talking about Corey Dillion realize that he is not a free agent?? The Bengals my want to trade him or release him later down the line...I see him with a star on his helment. Rudi Johnson is a restricted free agent for the Bengals.

you can bet money that marvin lewis won't have dillon around next year. he isn't worth a draft pick or another player in a trade, but he WILL be released if cinncy dosen't get any offers. it'll probably be after june 1st as well, so he'll probably come cheap. not that i think he's the shiznitzal or any thing, but if we are able to get him at a reasonalbe price, we should.

I agree that he probably won't be there next year...It just seems that most people on here think he is a free agent. Cinci wants to trade him but I agree with you and think they will release him June 1. Why trade for him when you can probably get him for free. I think he wants to play in Dallas. He is a good back usually...He might gain 150 yards one week and 30 the next...Depending on the mood he is in. Do we really want a player like that?

I sure dont want that crybaby in burgandy and gold. I like ROCK to carry the rock!!!!!

Rock is a good player and all, but he should stick to fullback. I personally dont envision him as a back with the ability to stretch plays wide, gain five yards per carry, or break a run loose for 50 yards. Hes a good person to put in at RB if something urgent happens, and on short yardage situations. But Rock will never be a full time tailback in this league.

I don't want Dillon anyways. He has a bad attitude and is declining in play. I know he was inuured a bit this year but he is pretty immarture at times, on and off the field.

4Life,
Rock was gaining chunks against the vaunted Dallas defense. He is a good runner, just give him a chance!

I doubt that Dillon will be in Burgundy and Gold... whines too much, too selfish. Not Gibb's type of player. Now, Eddie George, OTOH....

As far a Corey Dillion crying or whining...No one has heard anything from this man in ten years and now that he was going to lose his job and speaks out, you guys call the man a cry baby?
I like Rock also, but C. Dillion is a proven runner and will get you 1,000 behind a poor line.
We will get who Joe wants and you will love it.

I would rather see them take Rudi away from Cincy - he showed some heart out there on the field - anyone know where he got picked in his draft?

32 Rudi Johnson RB
Height: 5-10
Weight: 223
Born: 10/01/1979
College: Auburn
NFL Experience: 3
He is a beast!
How about Barlow from S.F.?

Barlow too - rather see him or Johnson than Staley, Dillon or Green...
Just my opinion tho

I dont know.....
I like the way Staley runs he really gets going and will run you over.
I dont believe Rock will be similar to Duce. Maybe

Duce is good, but he has had some injury issues that I don't like to see and the holdout and resulting attitudes that were being bounced around up there made me sour on him some...

He has gotten bigger since his injuries to compensate. It made him slower but powerful.
Yeah, plus he is in a bad situation cause there is a beast named "West-broke"
(Westbrook)
I also notice most guys start to cry toward the end of there contracts(INMO)

Countertrey, please don't get any Eddie George rumors started. Chris Brown is the better back of the two. IMO Eddie George is keeping Tennessee from being a dominant team in the AFC. His best days are far behind him. He only averaged 3.3 YPC and had 5 TDs. I don't know about anyone else here but I definitely do not want to see Eddie in burgandy and gold.

I still say Barlow or Johnson - maybe Mike Cloud from KC if he is available... anyone like that might not be a bad idea - I know Cloud never got much of a chance due to Priest taking off and New England not doing much with him...
I truly want DL and TE help before RB in the draft, so I hope the Skins settle this in FA

I still got hope for Trung. He is still one of the Fastest RBs in the league today.
Martz did not have a good RB coach. Faulk got his expertise by being on more than one team, plus experience. Just ask the backup in St.Louis

Redskins Notes: One rumor making rounds here is that the Redskins are among a few teams who will try to land tailback Corey Dillon from Cincinnati. NFL team executives believe that Dillon will go to the highest bidder among the Buccaneers, Cowboys and Redskins. Dillon will count more than $3 million against the cap next season.

I hope thats just a rumor, I think Dillon would be a huge risk, and at 3 mil a season I just don't think we can aford to take that kind of chance. Our money would be much better spent on someone who is not a problem child.
