This kid had a really bad rep coming into this game against the Skins today....but he really showed me something. He stood strong in the pocket and made the big throws when the Redskins game him the opportunity.
He finished 15-29 for 279 yards, 3 TDs and no INTs. Clearly, the kid outplayed the old man (Brunell) today.
I don't know about the rest of you, but he certainly showed me somethin' today.

I think it sucks that our D made him look like his old man, Phil, in his prime!

I said all week. No way Chris Simms will beat us. Our defense is too good to be worked by an inexpirenced guy like him. Boy i was WRONG.
Still not the complete package but when he has time to throw hes got the arm to make some plays down feild as we saw today!

Thanks to Greg Williams running the same frickin predictable and ill advised blitz...we got burned.
Springs had 6 sacks last year, BECAUSE NO ONE EXPECTED HIM TO BLITZ THAT MUCH, But now the whole world is expecting it, yet Williams keeps running it??
Utterly astonishing

Why does it always seem that players currently catching heat always seem to turn it around on the skins
Nonetheless, he did turn it around and said alot about himself and it was an admirable performance.. just wish it came next week instead of this week..

He got great protection and had receivers open all day all he had to due was "shot fish in a barrel" I mean this guy couldn't do squat against Sf and then he lights us up for 35??

He shredded our defense, but he was nowhere near as good as Brunell. Statistically, he may have been 2 INTs better, but no way did he look like the better QB. Brunell played like th consummate pro in the face of adversity in an extremely hostile environment. The kid had the crowd behind him, which always helps.
