That was rediculous the elbow was clearly down and the football wasn't across the plain of line. The announcer even said that he didn't get a 2 pt. conversion!

yeah... but there is no way the refs make that call in that situation.. if ball could have been seen it would have been a different story... oh well... blame this all on walt harris.. he flat out stinks!

Yeah, I feel ya brother. But....Bett's kickoff return for a TD was bogus, too. He clearly stepped out of bounds.
What goes around comes around, I suppose.

The officiating was hideous!!
1st when they called the reception at the 3 yd line during the 1rst quarter that the receiver was pushed out of bounds, then the elbow!!!
The refs gave them 9 points today.

Wrong! Never put his heel dowm - tiptoed to the endzone - sounds like a song from Tiny Tim.

listen.. the refs stunk but if the skins dont turn the ball over and if they had any kind of pass rush, the skins win this game by 10

Agreed. We could have played better.
But the officiating still sucked!!!

...and if Joe Gibbs would have thrown a pass on 3rd & 2 (to

ey) instead of running the ball, the Redskins could have run out the clock and won the game.
Woulda. Coulda. Shoulda.
Second guessing is easy.
The officiating, while not great, was not the reason the Skins lost. The reason the Skins lost was because our secondary couldn't cover any of the long passes...and our blitzes just didn't get to Simms.
Give Simms a lot of credit. He played very well today.

They showed a perfect angle later on showing Alstots elbow hitting the ground before he crossed the plain.

I agree. Woulda, coulda, shoulda.
BUT, I feel we were robbed.

we WERE robbed.
With the way Alstott held the ball, it physically could not have crossed the plain.
We got cheated.
Again.

Bad call bye the refs!!!I'm so pissed at this lose it should have never happened. You can't forget about the three turnovers they kill you!!!It's obvoius that we have some major secondary problems on our defense and the blitz's are not working anymore.Anyway the call sucked and once again we are fighting to stay alive in the playoff hunt and we need to fix the turnover and secondary issues.I don't see it happing until next year.We will most like have to wait next year for a playoff run.

His elbow was clearly down, but absolutely no way the refs overturn that call in Tampa. If the game had been at FedEx, it may have been a different story, but the replays were not 100% clear and therefore there was no chance of them overturning the call. I knew it as soon as they showed the replay. Even so, the offense had an opportunity to put the ball in position for Hall to at least attempt a game winner and they couldn't do it. Add to that the two INT's where the ball was bobbled by our receivers and Brunell's pathetic fumble and you have a recipe for disaster. We're lucky the game was as close as it was. The sad thing is, if this team could quit shooting themselves in the foot, they could be an elite team in the NFC.

Wise words indeed!

Was that Lavar trying to do the "leap" on the 2 pt conversion? He missed by oh so little.

And kinda like galloway got forced out being the reason he only had one foot in bounds.... we win the battle of the bad calls this day

I can understand it if a ref screwed up the call and there was no such thing as replay. But they have replay and the call stood. What a steaming pile of crap.

the bll wasnt visible at all so the refs will use that arguement. do i beleive that the skins stopped him, yes. but that isnt why they lost... the skins shot themselves in the foot... i said it before... if they dont turn the ball over they win by 10

If they're not offside by 2 yards on the PAT, at worst the game's tied and they go to OT.

What's the point of having instant replay when the refs still blow calls all the time?
Any one who saw that reply on TV could tell you that the ball did not cross the plain and that the 2 point conversion was no good.
Soooo why didnt the refs rule it as such?

you keep saying this but you're disregarding the fact that at least one of the "interceptions" was caused by pass interference, which the refs didn't call.
