Where do you think he'll play next year?
The popular guess is Oakland or Atlanta. I think he could end up in San Diego.
He could go somewhere just to increase ticket sales.
Some are saying his days in the nfl are over.
No way. He's too good. Some sucker team will think they can make nice with TO.

Is it me or can you see T.O. going to the cowboys look I would like to see him go anywhere but the cowboys.Parcells has big enough ego to take on the task of righting Terrell the terror in the locker room Owens. Please anywhere but the cowboys.

I was thinking anyone in the NFC east. Dallas makes the most sense. I was thinking that maybe TO would play for free just to get back at the Eagles (i know..i know).

I dont think the Cowboys can take on another ego. MeShawn and TO would self destruct the Pukes. I hate the Pukes but Parcells is a heck of a coach and I dont think he'd do that.
Coughlin is too much for TO.
Gibbs will have to put a bib on Danny boy.
I dont think he'll be in the East.

One ESPN Announcer (forgot his name) said that Denver will probably make a bid on him.

I really have the feeling that the New Orleans Saints will make a run for him.
He has already abandoned N.O. for a bigger market (he even mentions that he covets bringing a team to Los Angeles) bringing in a guy like T.O would put fannies in the stands, if nothing else.
NO's owner already has shown that he has no class or loyalty...I think he could team up nicely with a healthy Duece, Aarron Brooks and an aging Joe Horn.
Look for any team that wants to boost attendance and has a coaching problem to make a move for him.
New Orleans

I love to see TO in Dallas and destroy that team.

NO would be one of the last teams I'd expect TO to land at. I think T.O wants to be on a team that has a sure shot at the superbowl. Isn't he darn near 30?

Yeah he's over 30, but does he have a choice at this point??? What Superbowl contender will want him, let alone pay him the money he and Rosenhaus will want.
He will Have to go somewhere desperate enough to A) take him on their roster and B) pay him a large enough contract and C) that doesn't already have a #1 receiver.
I can't think of any perinial playoff team that fits this situation. Atlanta maybe? He has a home in Atlanta. That's the only one I can think would even entertain the thought.
Any team that is on the verge of the Superbowl will probably not want him, and even if they did, I highly doubt they will pay him what he wants.

Carolina? - already has Smith and John Fox doesn't seem like he is from that mold.
Tampa Bay? -maybe, but if Keyshawn was too much...
New York? -forget about it. Coughlin? already have Burress.
Dallas? -He stood on the Star...twice. Can't seem him and Keyshawn on the same team.
St. Louis? -maybe, but already have Torry Holt, but with their coaching situation, anything is possible with a new coach and GM.
Baltimore? - hahaa
Buffalo? -maybe. I don't know enough about Mularkey
Pittsburgh? -doubt Cowher would even come close
Oakland? - if this were last year...definitely
Minnesota? -maybe...kind of hypocritical though, for the reasons they let go Moss. But if they have a new coach and GM it could make sense
Kansas City? - nope
Seattle? -Holmgren wont even pay is own darn players. Although they could use him.
Indy? -heck no
New England? -when Heck freezes over.
Redskins? Not a chance.
Seems like he will go to one of the lower quality organizations unless he takes a severe pay cut..but doubt Rosenhaus or T.O would do that.
Some 3rd Tier org will offer him a contract...somebody like New Orleans or Houston may pay him. If not, Atlanta, Buffalo or Seattle might offer him a VERY SMALL contract.
Who knows.

In another thread I wrote....
1niksder wrote:Jack Del Rio has been looking for someone to replace Keenan McCardell since he let him out of Jacksonville. 3 first day picks in two years on WR but he's still looking. This may Jimmy Smiths last year so Jack will need a go to guy next year. Del Rio is arrogant enough to think he can control Owens and the wants to uncover thousands of stadium seats that are making him no money or forcing local blackouts of most of the home games. Plus Jacksonville hates Hugh Douglas
The Jags finishes around 9-7 just about every year.

I think he's going to end up playing for the New York Mets. They seem to be willing to pay any money for anybody. Who cares whether his sport of choice is football or not, the Mets have spent more money on worse acquisitions before.

Now that you mention it, a coach like Herm Edwards needs to win next year, and he just may feel like he could be a positive influence on Owens.

He said the Mets

Not the Jets
T.O. will want to know who'll be throwing him the ball with the Jets and the Jets don't know the answer to that.

Owens might have trouble finding another team
Bottom of the article...
In fact, two teams in need of a receiver said they would have no interest in adding Owens to their roster -- at any price. It is only a small sampling of the league's feelings, but it could be representative. And if it is, Owens is going to wish he had the chance to collect the $7.5 million worth of roster bonuses that were in his Eagles contract.
Based on a sampling of league opinion, Owens will be fortunate to collect anything close to that. Owens' agent, Drew Rosenhaus, declined comment.
I wonder who the 2 teams were?

The Ravens have to be one of them.

a lot can happen between now and february. owens will keep his mouth shut (at the pleading of his agent), talk nice, and win over at least one gm. then, we start the whole thing all over again. kind of like the matrix.

TO has a better chance of being Danny Boy's sex slave than ending up in Dallas.
Not happening.

Really? The last receiver that was deactivated like this just so happens to be on your roster.
But I agree. I don't think Parcells wants to deal with him...too old.
