Giants fan here. Usually have a view on who ought to win a particular game. This one has me lost. Two teams coming off serious losses. Developed a term for the game--the desperation bowl. Somebody leaves 5-3 and in decent shape for a playoff run. Somebody leaves 4-4 and troubled. Home field should help. But, Reid will have what he has ready. Count on it, T.O. will play. My sense is that Doovan McNabb is hanging on by a thread. A clean Arrington or S. Taylor hit could put him out and give you guys the advantage. Absent that, watch out, as he can make the big plays fast.
Seriously, hard to analyze this game.

I went to go do my Pro Pickem thing for Yahoo fantasy sports, and they have us favored!
I was really surprised about that, but I preferably like to be the underdog. I don't know why, but I think it's easier to win when you are supposed to lose.
Either way, I think this will be a great game.

Yeah but how much do they have us favored by ? Remember that Home Field advantage automatically is worth 3 pts so if the spread is 3 or closer is basically a toss-up

One home win and you come to run your mouth?
These are the standings in the NFC East division:
N.Y. Giants ______ 1-1
Dallas __________ 2-1
Philadelphia _____ 0-1
Washington _____ 1-1
They could not be more even. Your team still has to go and play away in Philthy and DC.
Desperation bowl? What a big-mouth nonsense. A good dosis of reality will teach you better in the coming weeks.

I hope the Giants lose to the 49ers like the Bucs.

I appreciate your input, but I would hardly call this the "desparation bowl". This division is wide open. If you think the Giants and Cowboys have pulled away, then you are misguided!

Way too early for desperation. Having dropped three of the last four, the Redskins really do need a win, but we might just have taken 4-4 at the halfway stage before the season started. I think we'll be better off than that though, 'cos I think we'll win on Sunday.
The whole NFC East is so tight this year, I suppose you could legitimately call every divisional game the Desperation Bowl. I have a feeling that anybody with a winning record within the division could be going a long way in the playoffs.
