BEST QUOTE OF THE WEeK!

Asked if he wonders what Redskins team will show up against the Eagles, Portis replied: "I don't wonder. I know what type of team we have here. You've never seen us play like that before, and hopefully you won't again. Last year, we were a 6-10 team but you still didn't see the kind of team that would lose 36-0. You'll never see guys quit around here. You'll never see guys drop their head around here."

I love Poris, he has really stepped up this year and he is becoming more of a leader...

That being said...I hope, too, for the sake of this team, that we won't see "Jerome from SE" ever again. My 2 cents

You probably will see him because he hangs out with 'Huggy Lowdown & Shorty' from SE and Andy Milonakis...... ROTFALMAO

Well, as long as there are no Jerome sightings at Redskins Park, it's all good. We need Clinton Portis back.

Hmmmmmm.........Portis 3 touchdowns against a horrible Niners team. Hasn't done anything before or since.

How about trying for once not talking to the media/fan dullards nor dressing up in embarassing costumes and just run the ball?

Oh that's right, you can't say that, he's trying to be a "fan favorite" here.

My bad.

You can be sure that that we won't see those characters any more. I'm sure the coaches have seen the footage, and, after the team's perfomance on Sunday, it will be strictly business at Redskins Park, especially in front of the media. As evidenced by the quote that started this thread, Portis sees the need to perform, as well.

Don't worry. The team will once again be on the wining side of the ball, and you won't have to come in here until we lose again, which, if all works out, won't happen 'til next year.

Sorry guys - its my fault... The 4 wins we've had were when Portis was on my fantasy team's bench (yes I paid the price for having him on the bench when he ran over the 49ers). Our 3 losses were when I actually started him.

So let it be known far-and-wide ---> On my team ... he's riding the pine for the rest of the year regardless of what it does to my Fantasy league standings.

thank you for your noble sacrifice, thaiphoon! we need all the help we can get from the Football Gods, now that Wellington Mara's demon slaves have been freed to work against us.

Oh God! Thaiphoon got me thinking.I've only got to see 3 'Skins games this year. The Denver,KC and NYG games.Oh shucks, all losses!I was working the night they beat the 'Boys.Does this mean I'm banished by this board from watching any further games this year.I feel I may have let my team and all you fans down.I will do as I am told to help the team. Please inform! :(

Where you sitting in the same seat watching those three? If so, try a different seat or rearranging your living room. If they were in different places, try facing away from the screen and watching in a morror, that should reverse the curse.

Or record the game and watch it later. That way the loss or win will already have happened and your watching it will not affect any karmic forces.

Thaiphoon,I think I'll try JansenFan's suggestion first,but if that doesn't work,thank god I've got Tivo! :D

Do what you need to do... but I'm still benching Portis for the rest of the year. I'm going to Thailand for 2 1/2 weeks (from 11/13 to 11/30) and will miss some games (Thank you TiVO) and have instructed my brother to not start Portis even in the event that every one of my other available RB's are injured and I have a slot open in my starting lineup.

Hey domin8, how about PORTIS now!
