Giants Fans Have No Class

With all due respect to a great team and their
tremendous late owner, I wish to state that I have
NEVER attended a football game with such obnoxious,
arrogant, moronic imbeciles as are the vast majority
of Giants fans.

I am a Redskins fan who attended Sunday's game.
Having seen what happens to Red Sox fans who attend
Yankee Stadium, I am not lost on the fact that I might
expect some jeering. But the Giants fans (the vast majority
of whom are drunken, fat, stupid white men) are just classless idiots. (Nothing against white people -- I am white -- just saying there's no diversity at Giants Stadium.)

Never have I experienced such a torrent of abuse (and I've been to my share of Redskins games on the road). Never have others yelled to others to "hit him," causing me to think I might have to defend myself. Never have I seen fans put
more energy into abusing fans of the opposing team than cheering their own team.

You'd think the fact that their team shut out the Redskins would be enough to pacify these bumbling twits. No, they had to make never-ending insipid comments in my ear, ask to take my picture so they could show what a "loser" I was (I guess I'd be a winner if I was a follower and cheered for the locals) and yell endlessly about how much the Redskins "suck" -- like the Giants never played a bad game. A few taunts are OK, but these idiots actually cared more
about jeering the Skins fans than cheering their team.

I am not lost on the fact that perhaps there are a few fans at FedEx Field who act like this. But not nearly as many. That kind of mass stupidity doesn't fly amongst fans like us, even if we are losing badly. We treat others with respect.

The Giants are damn lucky I took the high road, otherwise
there would have been at least a couple broken jaws at
that event. I'm lucky too -- I'd probably wind up in jail. Though I cheer enthusiastically for my team, I never resort to the tactics employed by the Giants' pig trough of nitwits they call fans. I will never attend another game at Giants Stadium (even if I get free 50-yard line seats).

Actually, I've been to the Vet before they moved out. Maybe they took it easy on me because I was a kid then. Ironically, that was Dexter Manley's last game as a Redskin. I think he was banned from the NFL the next day.

I think we established how classless Giants fans in the threads following the Saints game, when they were jeering the hurricane victims.

OMG. I didn't even know about that. UGH.

By the way, I just e-mailed a letter to the Giants telling them how much their fans suck. They'll probably ignore it,
but it would be a hoot if I got a personal response.

Good point. Perhaps I should attend EVERY Giants/Redskins game at the stadium and sing "Hail to the Redskins" repeatedly... even if the Skins are losing. :moon: :moon: :moon: :moon:

Thanks for taking the high road, pete. You showed class when the host team's fan base acted like a bunch of morons. You showed great restraint.

not living in the D.C. area, i've seen the skins exclusively on the road. i saw them in L.A. when they played the raiders, & this year at K.C. Those fans were fun to hang out with. having lived in N.Y. a few years, i can understand how the giants fans were obnoxious. most of them are from upstate, so that speaks volumes about them not having much of a life.

None of the fans of our NFC East opponents have much class as a whole but Philthy fans take top honours when it comes to the gutter.

You would have -actually- picked up a fight in Philthy.
