What kind of team this is....

We will find out against the Eagles - They were EMBARASSED against the Giants across the board - QB play, O-Line, D-Line, special Teams - everything from the Coaches on down.
So - they have a big opportunity to show they are for real against Philly - they better be ready b/c Philly is pissed as well after loosing 2 in a row.
They better show up to play and beat this team or forget doing anything even if they manage to make the playoffs. You gotta win games in the division, starting with the Eagles.
That was such a HUGE step backwards.
I had a bad feeling after all the Fox Pregame praise.
But....
Bank it: Wash 24 Eagles 20
They gotta stop being a mediocre team and be a winning team.

Really? You mean exposed like the Eagles one dimensional offense and incredibly overrated secondary have been all season? Is that what you mean? Like the way that they got beat down by Dallas, Denver, and the Chargers (even though they won on a special teams play).
Look, this was one game. It was just as bad as the Eagles performance in Dallas. To add, the Eagles have put in a couple more awful showings this year while, with the exception of yesterday, the Redskins have played good, well-balanced football while playing the 2nd hardest schedule. Your comment is rediculous, talk about the pot calling the kettle black!

True, but so has philly. They have more talent than the skins (now) but their coaching leaves plenty to be desired. Not the same old eagles.....their worse. They can be run on and passed on as they (like us) get NO pass rush from their front four. Living in the philly area, I for one am glad that their mediocre reign is OVER. All of those seasons with the division sucking and they couldn't get it done. The fans of philly deserve continued misery and it looks like they will get it. Philly likely will go 1-2 over the next 3 weeks (skins-L, Dallass-W, NYG-L). 5-5 after this stretch for philly.....and out of playoff contention. Skins will go 4-2 in the division (loss in philly as philly will only play for pride at that point before going home for playoffs). Giants win division and skins get the wildcard at 11-5 (only other 2 losses vs.Rams and at Philly).
Philly Game - The Real Test

How the Skins respond next week against Philly, I think, will be the litmus (sp?) test as to how the rest of the year will be.
If they win....then all is good with the world.
If they lose, and it's a hard-fought, close game, then I won't be too upset.
If we see something similar to what we saw against the Giants, then I'm afriad we're all in for a very rocky ride for the rest of the year....and that the playoffs are no longer in my mind.
I'm hoping this team comes around against Philly and really takes it to 'em.

Must be a Dallas fan still crying about the loss.

this can't be a 'even though the skins lost, they proved that they are for real and can play with the better teams in the league', like the denver and KC games. it has to be a win. you must win games in your division at home (i am so drooling over the giants home game).

forget seeing something similar to the giants game, anything less than a win against the eagles, and we'll be in for a long year, and a difficult uphill climb the rest of the way.

Can somebody get rid of the troll?
The Giants played a perfect game riding a ton of emotion. Let's see if they can come to Fedex and do it here.

We will bounce back against Philly on Sunday Night.

Whatever team we put out on Sunday, I guarantee they will be ready to play. There are just too many good character guys on the team now, if everything we've read about them is true.
This result has deflated the expectations around this team (no bad thing), but I still think they can compete for a playoff spot. But they do need to win 3 of the next 4 to get back on track for that.

Lets just hope our offense decides to actually show up next week. Even SF managed to put up a couple points against us. We need this win on Sunday. if the d tackles a little better and puts some pressure on McNabb then we have a good chance to pull out a W.

Im not even upset after the game, the redskins well I wont even say the whole team but most of the redskins did not show up on sunday. I hear alot of people talking about the Giants playing with so much emotion because of their owner dying, and i think thats BS most of the team didnt even have a realtionship with the guy like that just a few players. The bottom line is the Giants came out too play because they new they had a chance too have the only spot top the NFC. And they played their hearts from the opening kickoff. The Redskins were going off of hype, that they were the better team and that they should beat them. Even though i do belive the Redskins are better they certinally didnt show it. It starts up front the the line play, I know players probably dont read this type of messages but we have two women on the left side of our line. Chris Sammuels and Derrick Doccery are some punks, they made that side of d line look unstopable, and this is not the first time that sammuels has made some body look like Frenney. Both of those guys are bums and we paid him $60 million and he is not playing up too his potential. Him and Dockery is soft and they do not dominate like you would think 6'6 340 pound men should. Punks Punks Punks

i was so disappointed with our performance yesterday. i thought i was watching a three stooges movie. everything we did came to nought. in a nutshell, my constant reaction was, 'what the **** is going on here.'
i know gibbs blamed the coaching staff first & foremost. but my impression is that the players were not paying attention to what the coaches were trying to teach them, especially gibbs & GW, & they payed the price for it big time. they really need to perch-up their ears & listen to a coach who's won 3 super bowls & is in the hall of fame. so in a way the loss was helpful as far as deflating some of the players ego & bringing them back to planet earth. as such, they'll listen to the coaches more intently.
maybe i'm wrong in my assessment. i'm interested to know what others think about this subject.

I think it's good that this happened this early in the season, and against a division rival. The euphoria of beating the Niners is flat out gone, and the Skins should have learned that each victory has to be earned. Hopefully, we see a more focused team willing work during the week, and unleash their wrath on Sunday's.
