Hasselback and Pierce

I was just wondering if Hasselback and Pierce could have been reading our play calling on both sides, offense and defense.Making things alot easier for the Gaints coaching staff.

Not at all. I think that was just the Fox commentators looking for something to talk about mid-way through a horrific blowout.

If either of the two made any contribution, I would say it would have been Timmy-H, because for the most part Gregg Williams' defensive schemes are the same as they were a year ago. Pierce couuldn't provide much insight into what Washington was doing, because our offense is completely different than it was a year ago. At least a third of our plays were run from the shotgun, which we didn't even use last year when he was here.

I don't but it... But then again, I also though we matched up well with the G-Men when I woke up this morning.

That is a good excuse but good coaches should plan for this. All in all, it was a horribly played and coached game.

The Giants did not need Pierce and Hasselback when they already had game tapes.

The reason for this loss is pretty simple, I really cant remember a game that was played with less intensity. The players looked like they wanted to lose out off respect for the Giants owner. I really thought we were past the days of such lousy play by the players. This was ugly enough to motivate anyone. I hope Gibbs really gives them hell this week in practice cause they deserve it.

You may be right... But what I said wasn't wrong, seeing as how Timmy practiced againt that defense on a daily basis for a year, and Pierce did the same against the offense. Not to mention, Pierce is on the field when our offense was, which is why I brought it up...

Your exactly right, they looked AWFUL. They played with no intensity, no emotions, no excitement..... just completely horrible in every aspect of the game.

I have been a Skins fan my entire life and I can honestly say I have never seen them play so poorly, I mean never. They have lost before, they have been beaten badly but I have never seen them play no horridly to the point of not even moving the ball or scoring. They were 3 and out almost the entire game, their best drive until the 4th quarter was only to they OWN 42 yard line...... that is PITIFUL.

:( :( :?

The Redskins didn't care about their owner; they just didn't show up. Injuries also played a factor today.

Lack of emotion

Did anyone else notice the lack of emotion of the skins players and coaches?

Tiki Barber thanked Antonio Pierce for his assistance during their preparations for the game:

did you see how tight joe's face was at the end of the game?!? he P-I-S-D pissed. he usually doesn't wear his emotions on his sleeve, or anger, anyway. you can bet that there was no lack of emotion on his part in the locker room afterwards.

I can assure you that there will be no masks and wigs during wny interviews this week, even if it is with RedskinsTV.com. My 2 cents

Did Pierce and Hasselbeck play a larger part in this loss?

I'm not dwelling on our major league thumping this past Sunday, but I can't help but think that Pierce and Hasselbeck played a vital role in our downfall. I guess it's ehtically allowed in the NFL, and there's really no way to stop it, but I'd be willing to bet they knew all our signals, all our moves, everything!! And they let the coaching staff know them!

I know it's done in just about every game there is, but I think it really spelled our demise for this game. Forget about the emotion of playing against their former teams, but their knowledge of our offense and their knowledge of certain signals gave them a much bigger advantage than people realize.

I think that is just a small part though JP. There were so many things that we did wrong - I noticed on TV that TH was really into looking at what we were doing but the missed tackles, the missed blocks and the droppped passes that should have been caught are all on us. I think our corners led the team in tackles!

I think we lost this game in just about every facet of the game. TH probably "helped" more than AP but that was relatively minor compared to the other things that went wrong.

I think that this next game will be proof that we are one of the better teams in the NFL right now. The iggles defense will be fired up and our offense will have to have a good game to overcome some fierce tackling but the Redskins defense will have a lot on the line because they were embarrassed last week.
