KIRKLAND, Washington (AP) - Seahawks safety Ken Hamlin was in serious but stable condition with a fractured skull and other head injuries following a fight outside a downtown Seattle nightclub.

Hamlin's injuries included a small blood clot and bruising of the brain tissue. He was to remain in intensive care for the next day or two, team physician Stan Herring said.

The Seahawks' starting free safety was involved in an altercation with two men as he and his girlfriend were leaving Larry's Nightclub in the Pioneer Square section of Seattle at about 2 a.m., several hours after the Seahawks defeated Houston.

I loved that guy when he was in Cardinal Red at the University of Arkansas.

Used to WRs who came across the middle would have injuries like that.

A beating, a slaying and a lot of questions
The story is growing....

A security videotape of an altercation early Monday outside Larry's Nightclub in Pioneer Square shows Hamlin in an apparent verbal confrontation with another, unidentified man. At one point, an aggressive Hamlin slips past security guards and rushes the man. Club owner Larry Culp, basing his comments on the video and conversations with his employees, said Hamlin hit the man and was then knocked down and hit with a metal street sign.
