How many of you guys have an iPod?

I do not have one currently, but when I get my licscense (around Christmas time... SCORE!) I will definately get an iPod. They totally wipe out the need of CD's because you can just get a car hook up for like $20 and you have about 1,000 songs at your disposal.

And my sister just got a Nano, man that thing is wild. I mean I knew it was small, but dang, it is microscopic.

Plus, Apple just came out with another new iPod today, and that is unbelievable.

CUSTOMER REVIEW:

But I like the Mini's. They are small, cheap, and still hold tons of songs.

For all of you guys that have Mini's, how many stars does it get?

I have a mini, but they are no longer available (except overstock in stores) because they were replaced by the nano. If I had the choice between the two, i'd get the nano, because it is flash-based. I like my mini though.

I have an iPod mini.

I never listen to the radio when I'm in my car. I hook my iPod up to my radio and listen to what I want.

I've got a 20GB ipod and I love it. Why settle for 1000 songs when I can have 5000. There is nothing "mini" about me.:)

I got a 10GB 2 years ago and love it. It is great on long car trips, working out, etc. I don't use it all the time because I have music almost everywhere in the house, but it is a very cool toy.

Mini's size is good enough. I carry about 30 hours of music on it at a given time. The best part about iPods is battery life. It will allow you to listen to music for virtually any trip you will ever take.

Not me. It runs out real quick and then I can't charge it because I don't have a computer around. It's real irritating.

There is a wall adapter that the usb cable can plug into to charge your ipod. And then there are car chargers. Unfortunately for me, I am rarely not around a computer, so I don't have that problem.

Where can you find the car chargers?

Do they have wireless chargers as well?

I have the Monster iCarPlay Wireless that you can get at Best Buy. You plug it into the cigarette lighter and match radio frequencies and you are good to go. Charges as it plays.

Works great on long trips, plus with some cars, you don't have to have them running to charge. My wifes BMW will charge with the power off.

Can u all explain a little more about how the iPod hooks up to the radio? 'My wife and I have been looking to buy a CD player for the car for a while now, but, if I can buy an iPod instead, it could bethe solution to our dilemma.

Is there a special hook-up needed. BTW, we have a standard HONDA radio in our '99 CIVIC.

If you have a tape deck, this is probably your best option: http://www.tuaw.com/2005/10/13/griffin- ... connector/

Otherwise, you get some form of FM Modulator, which takes the audio out from the iPod and puts it on an FM station.

I'm interested in purchasing the new ipod. (The one that has video capability.) I'm thinking the 30GB one is plenty for me. I'm not planning to store videos on there, it seems pointless because the battery life for vidoes is supposedly 3-4 hours. Has anyone purchased the new one yet? If so, how is it treating you? Size-wise, is it smaller than the 4th general one? Do they have iSkins for the new one yet? (Those sleek plastic covers).

Here's a "first look" review over at iLounge.

Guys. Im getting Shenia an IPOD for Christmas. Her favorite soap opera is available for download with the podcast thingy? Which IPOD plays video? The regular 30GB IPOD? Also are podcasts free?

My father wants the 4GB Nano and she wants video so thats 2 IPODS.

Sadly Chris wont be able to get one for himself. :(
