Fox Announce Crew

Am I the only one that felt like the crew that did the game last night were composed of two of the biggest idiots in football? I didn't tape the game but I do remember at least four or five completely stupid comments made. They called the win over denver in the super bowl gibbs' first super bowl win? I mean come on, if u know football at all u know the superbowls. That was his second. Also, when we had the ball on the 6 yard line, the jock color commentator said that "elway did have his drive here". 1st off, it was in cleveland. The fumble came in denver the next year. Second off, its a different stadium. Also, nobody says to stop a reverse by sending the weakside DE up into the backfield. Everybody knows that to stop a reverse u need containment. The dumb jock thought he was making a statement by repeating that he knew how to stop it over and over and over.

I was also mad that the ref got an injury update but I still don't know why shawn springs was out the whole game.

It must be because of the loss, and i know that they're on tv and broadcast to millions, but last night I felt like i could have done a much better job. I'm sure most of us here know football better than these guys.

P.s. stephen alexander played for us 8 years ago. When cooley catches the ball, don't call him stephen.

Phil Mushnick of the NY Post pointed out in his column today in the NY Post that broadcasters are getting dumber every week. Either that, or they completely off-the-wall garbage.

you have to realize this was the "D" team for Fox. Bill Maas and whoever. I agree, the broadcast team was lacking.

and he would contradict himself all the time...at one point, he would say "I love playing in the elements...rain, snow, whatever" and then he would say "being cold and wet is the worst condition for any football player...and I hate that more than anything" what a complete bafoon.

At one point, I thought I heard the announcer say that Carlos Rogers was starting in place of Champ Bailey. Did anyone else catch that?

I went into the entertainment room with my father to watch the 2nd half. One of the idiots had been complaining about Portis's visor for the entire game. Right after he complained about him using a visor and how it had to affect his visibility he came right back and said "Portis has great vision" after he made the great block.

If you are in the DC area, you can just turn down the volume on your TV and turn up 106.7 and listen to Sonny and the boys ...

I heard just about everything that everyone has mentioned. I also recall them being mystified as to why Novack was limping after a kickoff, despite the fact that it had been shown on replay at least once or twice. Then, they had the replay show yet again so they could figure out what everyone watching TV had already seen. None of it was a idiotic as the dufus calling the Bears game who repeatedly called Mark Brunell, a well-known QB who has been in the NFL for over 10 years, "Scott." Anyway, I've long since given up on expecting anything intelligent to come out of their mouths. Since I can't listen to Sonny and Sam, I just laugh at the idiots in the booth, rather than get frustrated.

If its not on about an hour long delay. I mean I love the programming and listening to the guys on that station but it just plain SUCKS! I have had static on my radio while I have been IN THE STADIUM(I have tried 3 different radios).

If we keep winning, we will get the Aikman team.
