Only two Canadian teams?

ONE of which has NEVER won Mr. Stanley's Trophy??

ANOTHER that won it only ONCE in 88-89???

Son, you have no idea what you are talking about.

1. You could have checked the early standings.

2. You could have looked at history.

3. You could have looked at the new NHL rules to check who has the best chance under them.

No Canadiens, Leafs or Oilers. They call the new rules, the Oilers rules. Can you guess why? I am not sold on the Vancouver Canucks but I would not discount them having a good season.

Over the recent years, some of the best Canadian players have played in the States due to the strngth of the US dollar and the economies of big franchises. The salary cap changed all that. Increasing parity will be the name of the game in the new NHL.

I love my young team. Claude is making a good job at the helm of my beloved Montreal Canadiens.

NOTHING comes anywhere close to our franchise.

It is a Canadian game son. Live and learn. Live and learn.

Lindros will not finish this season. Mark my words. Even with the new rules, this is a tough game, and in some ways tougher than football.

Also, it's the Stanley Cup.

Oh, and Lindros will NOT be the reason the Leafs would win the Cup, regardless of whether he lasts the season or not.

Looks like the Caps will run away with the Cup this year, according to the exit polls. Their 50% approval rating means they are totally gonna win.

I think that after seeing this poll, I can better understand how Kerry/Edwards felt on election night.

Go Caps!!!!

I can't even believe you left of the Habs (Montreal Canadians), their team is built for the new NHL.
I haven't really watched a full game, but from what everyone is sayin, is that it is a lot more exciting of a game to watch...any input on this?

No kidding. But it is also a young team.

It is more exciting. The result is a lot less predictable even in the last period.

The days of the seat and defend with a lead in your zone are gone.

Look at the standings for goals and stats:
