Great thread! Im back from being sad and Im ready to get this bandwagon moving. Pacman has warmed it up and Im ready to pull off. Negativity is not allowed in this thread.

i am still kind of pissed about getting hosed but i am going to wear my redskins sweatshirt proudly tomorrow. i'll welcome the opportunity to correct anyone who thinks we actually lost or have anything to be embarassed about.

i think our team is going to be pissed and sick of having to go down to the wire, and blow the chiefs out of the water, 37-17.

Everyone is a bit hurt by the loss but hopefully this will spark an even hotter fire under their behinds. This offense is improving every week and hopefully we can get some of our secondary back for the KC game.

We better play better against the run..you know after yesterday the Chiefs are coming after us on the ground!

I think KC will give the Skin's a tough game. They are at home coming off the bye week. I do expect to win the game though. I think Washington scores more points than any game yet.

Our defensive staple is usually against the run. I would be willing to bet field conditions had alot to do with their success on the ground. Take their first TD, for example. If Daniels has his footing, Bell is dead in the water in the backfield, and we take over on downs. I'm not using it as an excuse, mind you. Just commenting on the fact that a normally stout run defensive unit was hampered by sloppy field conditions.

A lot of things did go our way yesterday, but this team never gave up. This has become the norm for this team, they always feel they are still in the game.

There were bad calls, missed calls and let's not forget dumb penalties that were called, and we turned the ball over without getting any. For some reason this lost doesn't feel as bad as any of the losses we've had over the last few years. Just really feels like the one that got away.

I'm ain't scared of the chiefs, but I do respect them. Its tough to beat them in arrowhead. What scares me is my fantasy team. I've got Priest Holmes as my running back.......I gotta bench him. My back up will have a better game then him. I just hope its enough to win.

Agreed.
Overall, extremely pleased (except for the L). Tough place to play, tough weather conditions. Team stayed focused, like you said. Ball control working well. If we continue to dominate the clock, there aren't too many games that will be out of reach. I was pretty happy with the defense for the most part. Two defensive lapses=14 points. (One on 4-1 which really stung) It was like 90 yards rushing right there. With a banged up defense, it will happen.

Very disappointing to see Lavar not activated today. I thought he could harass Plummer.

After watching how the Skins performed yesterday, I can't wait to play the chefs. If we control the penalties we will win plan and simple

A lot of folks are going to try to sell us short in KC, and that's a good thing. I hope we find a way for LaVar to get loose and stomp on Trent a few times. Whoever, just hit him!
I think Williams will correct the long runs. The Holmes/Johnson combo is one of the better RB situations in the NFL + we've gotta shut down Tony Gonzalez. Plenty of work ahead - but we can win in KC.

KC scares the hell out of me. If the Redskins don't play exceptionally well, this could be a set-back game.

This KC offense is the best we've faced so far this season, but their defense can be scored on. Problem is, we haven't been scoring on anyone, and if we wait till the 4th quarter to get points, it'll be too late.

As encouraging as it is to see us rack up 450 yards against the Broncos, it's just as troubling that we only managed 19 points (9) of them late in the game.

On the positive side though, we have strength vs strength, and weakness vs weakness with KC. Points!!! That will be the real story here. We aren't going to win with field goals.

We need 27 or better this week, depending on whether we can get Harris and Springs back on the field.

Considering the Redskins have never won in Kansas City i'm kinda reserved on my excitement. What better year to end that streak than this year??? We are really playing pretty good football so we will have a great chance for a W.

I believe we can win, KC isn't all that great, plus on espn Mike Ditka and Eric Allen picked Redskins over Chiefs so at least some experts are on our side. :D

I can see some confidence, you are playing great ball but we are tough to beat at our place, I like the match up, strenght vs. strenght, your D for me, is the best in the NFL, I didnt watch all your games, only parts of that glory MNF (I hate the cowgirls) and last week game.
The chiefs O always starts slowly and catch his rythm as the season goes, last year was in Baltimore in the 4th game, this year it'll be against the skins (sorry), if that happens it'll be a heck of a game.
I expect KC plays at full potential, if that happens we will win the game, if not...

From an article on Yahoo Sports:

http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news?slug=a ... &type=lgns

"Even though statistical rankings are deceptive so early in the season, the Chiefs' pass defense is resting near the bottom of the league and is just about where it wound up last year."

"Even with McCleon playing better than expected in Warfield's absence, the pass defense for the Chiefs (2-2) has been poor, allowing almost 274 yards per game."

Brunell to Moss... Brunell to Cooley... Brunell to Thrash... Brunell to Royal...

This is going to be fantastic!

This may open up the running game for Portis, they WONT be able to stack 20 guys in the box.

If we got our corners back our defense can shut them down.

I think its going to be high scoring with the winner scoring 30+ points. We should be able to move the ball again against their soft front 7. I don't think the loss of Salavea is being talked about much, but I think that was a major factor in the Broncos game. When he is in there we are much better against the run. Does anyone know if he will play this week?

Man, have yall written the D off already? Sheesh, I could have sworn we weren't the Giants the last time I checked.

We have a very good defense. I see them cancelling each other out with our up and coming offense taking it to their bad d.
