Boy was I wrong. I was one of the biggest Brunell haters on this site, but today he showed me he is without question the QB of the Washington Redskins.

While I am still a Ramsey fan, Brunell can make some plays Ramsey just simply can not (EX: those 20 yard scrambles and the bootlegs to the left)

And Brunell just does not make those crucial mistakes with 2 mins. left. I mean he pulled like a 90 yard drive out to give us an opportunity to win the game.

And if we can get over almost 400 yards of total offense, then thats just fine with me, if we win that is. And Mark Brunell is a winner (except today

I apologize in that I thought they were BOTH a waste of time. Brunell has clearly showed he has heart, an accurate arm, and legs that can carry him. Furthermore, Brunell really seems like he has an intuitive sense of the pass rush.

I still go back to the Dallas game though. Prior to that, Brunell seemed like he was afraid of making mistakes. After he was forced to go for it all and succeeded, it looks like his whole game has blossomed. He really did through truly awesome in the rain.

I'll take the optimistic route on your take. Yes, he was "afraid" of making decisions, but, that he was only doing what he was told. Once Joe saw that the QB could make those plays, it was only a given that they had to open up the offense. Bottom line, Brunell "stepped up and established himself as the starter," as JOe wanted his QB, either Mark or Patrick, to do.

I am with you "Air". My major problem with the whole situation was the way it was handled by Gibbs. I didn't think that Brunell had anything left but he has been a very pleasant suprise. Let's just hope he can stay healthy because if he is not, we are in for what we had with him last year.....

300+ yds and no turnovers for #8? That's incredible. If only we had not committed the penalties, we'd be 4-0 right now. Oh well. Beat the Chiefs.

Add 100+ from Portis on 20 carries and 100+ for Moss and that's some pretty good offense. These guys are stepping up.

I'm ready for some Brunell koolaid myself (what color is that, burgundy and gold?). I wish he'd taken off and scampered into the endzone for the conversion but now I'm nitpicking.

Gibbs said Brunell uses his legs when he throws the ball. On that Hail Mary pass the ball was in the air for about 60 yards, I guess there's nothing wrong with his legs now

I kept thinking the same thing: OK, stack the line, pull eight or nine guys in tight, and watch what happens.

Blitz your corner and see Brunell complete a easy 10-yard pass to the left side.
