I am so friging drained! They had a chance this game, but killed themselves. Golden opportunity to get a nice foothold on the division was there. It hurts and I'm exhausted. I need to take a break this week and just show up next Sunday :(

Think of the position we'd be in (in the division) had we pulled out a win...can't it ever be easy

I, for one, am upset with this loss.

However, I can take away many positiives from the way our team played. I think the most positive would be the play of the OL. I feel this was as close to a prototypical Joe Gibbs game as we've seen so far. From this fan's perspective, Joe won this game!!

HAIL!!

Yeah, I am totally spent. But just think of how the team feels. They battled till the bitter end in 47 degree wet weather. Hopefully this will fuel them even more and the bad calls will piss them off to more victories.

On a positive note, too, is I've spoken already with some "Skins suck" naysayer friends of mine who now say, "I'm impressed" with how we almost foiled Denver. One of them is even thinking of switching from the Ravens to the Redskins!

Alas, we may be earning some respect......

What are you guys talking about?

Sure I'm sad we lost, but it was a great game. Like Hoss said, many posotives came out of this game.

This game showed once again the grit and gut of this team, it showed that we can play with the "Big Boys" and that our heart is unmatched.

I know it's hard to swallow a loss, especailly a very very close lose, but this game I believe was a "good" loss, if there is such a thing.

I mean did you see the players faces after the game? They were devastated, unlike last year where yeah we would have been sad, but whatever. I mean Clinton was almost in tears.

This game showed our true heart and that we can play... with any team.

I'll take games like this every week rather the types of games we had the last 12 years. We played really well except for mistakes. Mistakes are a rarity with this team now. We could have easily got the win today. That is saying a lot against a good Denver team at their place. We had 447 yards against the #6 defense!!! And it was really slippery out there. We will figure out how to get in the endzone. I bet we start scoring a lot of points very soon ;-)

Great game. The weather was aweful and we made some mistakes but still drove 94 yds for a TD and a chance at OT when it really mattered. The team played well and the offense looked pretty good again. At least we didn't get HUMILIATED like Philly who had 129 total yards to the 456 that Dallas got!

There are many positives that we can take away from this game but the mistakes "on the field" aside, the game was poorly managed from a coaching standpoint.

When we got the ball back with 4 minutes left, we should have been in a "hurry-up" offense to save time and timeouts. It was like we were playing as if the two-point conversion was guaranteed. The "hurry-up" would have given us at least an extra minute to spare and one more timeout. It would have forced Denver to run some sort of plays instead of kneeling down and maybe, just maybe, a turnover could have occurred given the weather conditions. If no turnover, we could have held and forced a punt.

The call on the two-point conversion was good except our friend Royal was dragging Gold with him into the passing lane. Was that where Royal was supposed to be?

The other glaring thing is that we need more production out of Patten and either Thrash or Jacobs. Brunell and Moss have a chemistry but teams are now locking in on Moss because that is Brunell's go to guy......

Just wanted to add - Brunell did it again! Amazing!

Again, he took control and marched us down the field when it really mattered. Great stuff from him even in such awful conditions.

Again, I love how this team is coming together and think nothing but positive for our boys. I'm 41 and need to stop hanging on day in and day out. I'm worn out. I should look to peak at game time not Wednesday.

Hail

Amen, brother...amen...

My head remains high after this game. The penalties will be worked on this week, and I'm sure Gregg will discuss the miscues (what few there were.)

With a healthy Springs/Harris...who knows what would've happened. But hopefully we'll have their services next week, 'cause we'll need them.
