Is a win really possible?

The Broncos are a good team, and we play @ Denver. They destroyed the Chiefs and held the Jaguars to franchise low yards. The Skins aren't doing really good in the turnover compartment and some analyst said that is their only key to victory. Honestly, do you think we will win? 4-0 would be kinda nice, but doubtful

Ball control and forcing turnovers will be the key to a win for us. Difficult as it may be, Gibbs has an edge: He's the man. He can out-coach and out perform anyone in the game right now. I saw glimpses of his ability to adjust last week, hope to see more of it on Sunday.

They also lost to Miami.
And we went to Dallas and beat the off-season champs.
Furhtermore, our offense is growing every game, and no one, not even the all-knowing broncos fans, know what it can do just yet.

You took the words right out of my mouth. How about we just quit for the season since none of our wins are "definate".

Skins will win if:
1. They can hold down the Broncos rushing attack; and
2. They can make the Broncos have to, therefore, try to beat them in the air.
If they can do that, "da snake" will be bound to make mistakes (as he always does) and the Skins will take advantage.
If the Skins cannot stop the run this week, we're gonna lose. If we can stop the run, we're gonna win.
I'm thinkin' this team can stop the run.

i think you hit the nail on the head, Justice Hog. we'll get at least 2 INTs if we can effectively shut down the run, which we whould be able to do.

You ask "Is a win possible"? Of course it is. Maybe you meant...do you think we'll win? The Skins must reverse the TO trend -4 just won't get it done. I really thought we needed 100 yards from Portis last week to win, we didn't mostly because Brunell played out of this world on third down. I'll say it again we need 100 yards from Portis this week, we need to be 3rd and 1 not 3rd ant 7 like last week, the Broncos are a better them.

Yeah, but we don't need 100 from Portis if Betts gives us 35 or 40 like last week! It's a great combo in the backfield.

You guys need some faith. Hell, Denver got smashed by Miami in week 1, and just barely edged out the Chargers in week 2. So they are not all powerful.
KC is up and down, so their win against KC isn't a big deal.
The Skins have a good shot at 4-0 this week. If we stop the run...and I think we will, this will be another tight game, and our defense is better. Arrington is going to play more this week, and I expect him to make a statement....watch out Plummer.
If the offense continues in the current direction, we can put up points on the Broncos.
I expect a win- 24-17

This game will be one if we can stop big plays and make some of our own. Our D needs to clamp down on Plummer getting out of the pocket, I think that will force Plummer to stay inside the pocket which he dosent like. Pressure up the middle will be Key,and you must get Lavar out their cause he will change the game without making tackles, cause he will open up things for everybody else.

That's why they play the games... sure, the Skins can win the game. I think it's mostly on the shoulders of the defense, and taking the ball away from the Broncos. If we can keep our D fresh in the fourth, score a few points - 20 or so, and take away the ball three or four times - I'm sure we can hand Denver the "L".

The Broncos have also not played a defense like ours before. We have a ball control offense, and a shut down defense. I cant wait to see Moss leave Chump in the dust!

You come on a Redskins fan site and ask the people on it if they think a win is possible for the Redskins

The answer quite simply is NO, the Skins will not win.

...and that's what I read in Sports Illustrated in January, 1988, and SI is never wrong. Did the Redskins even bother to show up at SB 22?
