Lions' Rogers to be suspended for substance abuse

Detroit Lions receiver Charles Rogers has been notified that he is being suspended for four games because he is in violation of the NFL's substance abuse policy, sources have told ESPN's Chris Mortensen.

The suspension could be announced this week unless Rogers appeals, the sources said.

"A player's status in the National Football League substance abuse program is strictly confidential unless the NFL announces a player's suspension," the Lions said in a statement. "Any questions regarding the policy should be directed to the NFL."


NFL spokesman Greg Aiello said the league had no comment. A message seeking comment from Rogers' agent, Kevin Poston, was left Monday night...

Now I know nobody wanted Koren but who here would take a chance on this guy if we could get him for dirt cheap?

what a waste. been injured for 2 years straight, now suspended. really earning that paycheck.

i wouldn't touch him for anything more than the league minimum. and that would be overpaying him. for all intents and purposes, he's still a rookie that has only managed to stay off the field.

Yeah, but didn't you guys see this comming?

If I remember right, wasn't he caught with Pot at the combine. I mean seriosly, how dumb can you be to smoke during during/before the combine.

Plus, didn't he have a kid when he was like 19 or something...

I think he is an alright talent, but a loser person aka Koren Robinson.
