The Fox NFL Sunday boys spent about 25 seconds on the team yesterday on the OT and its only been 3 games but Howie and Jimmy seemed to be all of a sudden pro washington, as well as on NFL Primetime they actually gave a decent highlight pack on the game and TJ spent about a minute discussing the team after the segment. Things are looking up. Wait until next week pregame, i bet we get actually story's about us on all 3 bigh shows.

Howie and Jimmy were not fans before that game. Those guys are both tools. We still got very little air time on ESPN today. Maybe that will change next week but for God's sake, Why does everyone hate us?

I don't really care about air time on ESPN. If not having air time is what it takes to turn it around, then I'm fine with that. Let em ignore us for all I care.

I really don't care if the media likes us or not. In my part of the country everyone loves the Cowboy's, so I sort of enjoy being the bastard child, it just makes a win that much more enjoyable.

Check this guy's humorous take on our success:

2. As you've probably heard countless times already, the last time the Bengals started a season 4-0, in 1988, they went to the Super Bowl. And same with the Redskins: The last time they started a season 3-0, in '91, they won the Super Bowl. So there you have it. You can't argue with history like that, right? Mark it down, then: Feb. 5, 2006 … Super Bowl XL in Detroit … Redskins over Bengals. And really, it's a waste of time to even play the rest of the season.

3. Oh, and if you think the Redskins celebrated their Week 2 win over the Cowboys like it was the Super Bowl, then wait until you see how they do it up when they actually win the Super Bowl. I'm not exactly sure what will happen, but if it's up to Joe Gibbs, I'm sure it will include a cooler of boiling water getting dumped on Patrick Ramsey.

4. Don't feel bad for Redskins linebacker LaVar Arrington, who, despite being completely healthy, was used on only four plays yesterday against the Seahawks. Remember, even if his NFL career flames out, he can always fall back on a modeling career.

At least they're talking, as this thread suggests.

LaVar Arrington is without a doubt the most talented man on the defense...

Why is he not being used?!?!

It's becoming apparent that he's got one of the worst attitudes on defense. Apparently (I've seen this referenced in other threads on THN, not in original sources, so keep that in mind) he was threatening to skip team meetings because he was asked to play some on special teams, which he did not want to do.

It could be partially about the knee at this point, but my gut feeling is that if Lavar had been doing nothing but working hard and doing whatever the coaches asked him to do, we'd have seen him a lot this past week.

I agree with those that think Lavar's career in Washington is really coming into Jeopardy. The D is showing that we don't necessarily need him to win. I just hope that he shapes up and starts doing his job, which is to follow the coaches orders.

I want the media to like us, Watching skins clips is fun, especially on the West where we dont' get to watch many skins games, unless I drive down to a sports bar.

Hopefully 4-0, then a lot more coverage, yesss.
But we are only winning by the skin of our teeth, that won't cut it in the long run, nor against the better teams. WE CANT SCORE PTS, YET !!! ahhhhh.

That statement is way to bold. SEAN TAYLOR completely blows Lavar out of the water.

As far as his not being in the game, Gregg Williams has said and proven time and time again, that he is'nt concerned with egos on this team. He is all about winning games. If that means Lamar Marshall plays more and Lavar sits most of the time, so be it...

Why on Earth would re re-structure his deal and settle his contract dispute if we weren't going to use him or we were going to trade him?

Is it not part of his contract, that he must make the Pro-Bowl to hit some incentives? Kind of hard to hit them when you are not put into the game.

I saw him being eased into the lineup during the pre-season. What has happened since then is a mystery, but he made his impact felt during pre-season.

He must be in the seriuos doghouse.

No chance Arrington goes anywhere. Anyone who is thinking clearly knows this. He is seriously stuck here because of the cap. Everyone still wants to find something to pick about even when they are winning, its just rediculous. Yeah there is maybe a little something to it but right now he is getting outplayed and he is on the bench. It's pretty simple when you think about it.

Sean Taylor is the Greatest Athletic Specimen on our team and the best player on our team. I love LaVar but enough is enough with the whining about him not playing. If we were 0-3 then i can understand the big problem, however we are winning without him. There is nothing wrong with bringing him back slowly, let him work his way back in.

As for people being nice to us, all the brunell bashers, all the joe gibbs bashers all the negative people i have five words for you. Bottom of my toilet bowl. We don't need any of you as you can see three weeks into this young season.

Keep Pushing Boys all that perserverance is starting to show up!!!! It feels good to see this city smiling on Monday mornings!

I believe that Warrick Holdman starts in front of Lavar. . . . Stats from NFL.com show he has 3 solo tackles and 2 assists. No wonder we don't hear his name called that much.

I'm not going to argue with Greg's defensive schemes, but I'm not so sure the Skins' defense has caused a turnover all year. I know that with Lavar in there, he could improve those numbers. I can't imagine a defense so good that we don't need Lavar Arrington starting in order to acheive a top 5 defense.

I have to agree that Sean Taylor is the best athlete on the team. Versatile at that. But we can't ignore how much of an Iconic player Arrington has been for us the past few years...granted he's been hurt lately but I think once he starts to play at his previous level (which I don't doubt he can), he as well as us the fans and coaches will be much happier. Let us not forger LaVar is a great ball Player. Give it time.

Um, 2004 final Defensive rankings put the 'Skins at No. 3 (without LaVar for 14 games). 2005 D rankings have us at No. 5 through week 4 (without LaVar). So I'm not sure what would give you that impression.

I like LA as much as anyone on the team (my user name SH56) but if he is not willing to play a part on this defense as opposed to trying to be the entire defense then he should sit. Our offense is not good enough to overocme errors that would lead to TDs for the opposition. Recall this is not the first time LaVar has been called out on his lack of focus on D. When Marvin Lewis had LaVar playing D end it was like pulling teeth. I think G.Williams knows, and the team has proven they don't have to concede to LaVars' ego because the D will perform without him.
Final thought I guess Sapps nickname still sticks
LaVar "Can't Get Right" Arrington

I just wished he would come around and see winning cures all ills.
