I'm not sure if anyone on here watches Lost, but I bet some do since this board is pretty quiet at 9 on Wednesdays.
Anyway, I've set up a Wiki (a kind of collaborative web site) to collect info all about Lost. If you are a fan of the show, jump right in and add or edit information on
The LOST Wiki.

I love LOST! I thought the first two shows this season have been excellent. I just don't see how it could go on past this year, but I'm hoping.

Notice how the numbers ad up to 108? the time that clock reset to? and that in the painting jack passed in the hallway downstairs has a picture of a SUN and the number 108 in it?
What if the "others" were the passengers who were on the back of the plane that landed on the other side of the island?

And what about the logo on the bottom of the shark?

Are you joking, because I didn't see any logo.

Hold up a minute everyone -
First of all, I've learned from 'an insider' that the show has already been scripted well into the fourth season - so don't worry about them not having enough material.
Secondly, I found a very interesting theory posted on the 'official' Lost forum, found at their website:
http://www.oceanicflight815.com
Basically, you can find a few spoilers there, but the most enticing theory that I saw came from a fan who just read a book by Greg Egan, called
Quaranteen. I won't spoil anything for you here, but if the show's premise is based losely on what this book is about, you're in for
much bigger suprises than the Polar Bear thing. If you do want to check it out, you can go here:
http://forums.go.com/abc/oceanic/thread?threadID=579591#6506946
Any and all theories, information, hidden facts, etc. can be found after spending some time here:
Theory Board
(The "Black Rock" Thread is based on the first season, the "Security System" Thread is collective, running into the current season)
A few little tidbits I picked up that shouldn't spoil too much...
The symbol is VERY important. It was all over Desmond's 'apartment', as well as the shark's tail, and possibly on the plane itself.
If you go to the Lost website, and click on the barcode thing, it asks for a code. Type in:
theislandiswaiting
There's so much more stuff, but I'll let you look through what you want to.

Someone did some research at the Lost Theory Board, and came up with this:
Please, someone go to this site. The bagua has numbers in all the quadrants... all the numbers used on the show. I have no idea what it corresponds to, but I'm gonna look at this all day long and probably drive myself nuts.

Dharma, Ba-Gua - whatever; it looks like the symbol...

I am so glad you posted this because I KNEW I saw that on the shark, but it was so quick... But yes, the Bagua was definitely on the shark.

You've got a better eye than me. My friend mentioned it right after the show, and then I saw it on that site, but I didn't see it at all.

They showed an underwater shot of the shark very, very briefly, as Sawyer was swimming to the pontoon part of the raft... it was very close-up shot of the shark as it swam past the camera, right before Michael shot it.

I thought I saw it too but there are so many things to keep an eye out for in the background (when re-watching it) that I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me.
That show just gets more and more intense.

dharma
n : basic principles of the cosmos; also: an ancient sage in Hindu mythology worshipped as a god by some lower castes.

I also found this:
dhar·ma n.
Hinduism & Buddhism.
The principle or law that orders the universe.
Individual conduct in conformity with this principle.
The essential function or nature of a thing.
Hinduism. Individual obligation with respect to caste, social custom, civil law, and sacred law.
Buddhism.
The body of teachings expounded by the Buddha.
Knowledge of or duty to undertake conduct set forth by the Buddha as a way to enlightenment.
One of the basic, minute elements from which all things are made.
And there's always Dharma and Greg, which was also on ABC, I believe.
