Is there any way Ramsey would go to jets?

With the plague that has hit the QBs at NYJ, is there any way we will shop him there. If so what could we expect to get? A first rounder from them would be awesome as it may be high as they may be mopping the floor of the NFL this year ???????

Who are you going to play when Brunell has the inevitable injury? A rookie with about a games worth of pre-season experience under his belt?

Ramsey is here to stay until the end of the year. Brunell hasn't played a full-season in about 5 years...

noone knew how ben rothlesburger was going to perform when he got tossed in there but i would assume you agree that he played pretty darn good. You never know. We may get our best value right now for him.

Mark Schechter on NFL Total Access just reported that preliminary results on the MRIs are VERY bad. Pennington tore his rotator cuff again and is done for the season. He's seeing Dr. Andrews tomorrow for a second opinion. Fiedler's out six weeks. VERY bad news, if true Pennington's career might be over.

I think we will see ramsey traded. We could get a ton of value out of it. Or else jets could toss their season and draft MATT LEINHART :)

They say they are after Tommy Madox right now. I feel awful for Pennington, I always thought he was an excellent football player and I really admired him. Despite the lack of a big arm he had a great football brain and was a fantastic competitor. I hope this isn't as serious as it seems.

I would take their DE Abraham for Ramsey in a straight up trade, but since the QB situation was so public here, and Rams contract expires next year, our trade levereage is not all that high.

If we did trade him I would only expect draft picks, but we need those too.

Ramsey will stay. He is more advanced than Campbell. If Brunell gets hurt, then Ramsey would replace him.

I hear that the Jets are talking to Danny Wuerffel, who is already familiar with their star receiver and their star's toe.

[No. Sorry. I made that up. It was too much to resist.]

I was looking at some Jets boards. This was the #1 topic by far. The #2 was why did we ever trade Moss for Coles?

I just switched on ESPN, and I heard the tail end of Chris Mortenson talking about the Jets QB situation and I heard him say something about "The backup QB for the Redskins". He then said that's it's pure speculation. Did anyone catch what he was saying?

I think i saw that, and he was just rattling off a list of possible QBs.

fat leny on epsn.com reported the jets are tyring out doug johnson, jesse palmer and jonathan quinn. talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. he also said they may also consider quincy carter. i think quincy carter is probably the best of all those but either way... the jets season is done fer

Theoretically, if Ramsey were to be traded, we would pick up a third quarterback anyway, and it would definitely be a veteran. My first thought would be Hasselback because he at least has some familiarity with the system from last year -- but the Giants picked him up after we released him. If we wanted him, it probably would not take much to get him back from the Giants. The question is, if you are Joe Gibbs, who would be your first choice to back up Brunell right now? Ramsey? Hasselback (assuming we could get him without trading away too much)? Campbell? Or another vertan currently not signed with any team?

Check this out...
http://www.miami.com/mld/miamiherald/sp ... 736893.htm

Miami Herald wrote:• Redskins quarterback Patrick Ramsey, a former starter, has requested a trade and has interest in playing for Miami, a close associate said. But keep this in mind: Ramsey ranked 31st in deep-completion percentage last season (according to Scientific Football 2005) and struggled with decision-making when hurried. ''Ramsey can't play,'' Fox's Jimmy Johnson said.

I think that first rounder might be wishful thinking. I'm not giving JJ any credibility, but the other teams know what we know, and they know what they've seen.
I think the Jets will likely bring Testaverde back in, seeing as to how Fiedler is probably doomed, too.

who knows, I think he will go to Dallas personally. But with the Skins I didn't think Champ would go to Denver. With these guys u don't know.

But the question still remains, who will replace Brunell when his production remains low or he gets hurt? This thread is such a stretch, trades in the NFL are very rare, even more rare during the season.

If Quincy Carter isn't still on crack, he would be the logical choice for the Jets...you know minus being a crackhead, he actually started for them last year and won some games.

Fan4, your sig is killin' me. How 'bout, "Roy is so slow, he's got some Moss growin' on him ? " ROTFALMAO

...and the trade is absolutely a stretch. According to the Miami Herald, though..there's some in Miami that would like to see him there.
Wouldn't that be something ? Ramsey backing up Frerotte ?
They could headbutt walls together !

Who are we going to chant for this Sunday, say, 4 minutes left in the 2nd quarter?

Brunell after he throws for his 2nd TD of the game.
