Continued media bias?

Maybe I am reading too much into this but did anyone notice during the Giants game last night, ESPN put up a graphic showing all the undefeated teams in the league. Guess who was left off. The Skins. At first I thought maybe they only had the 3-0 teams up there, but then I noticed the Chiefs at 2-0 were listed. Maybe I am being overly sensitive to it, but its just another slap in the face for the Skins.

Haha Yeah, since he picked the skins to go to the super bowl, he should have caught it. Its funny though...ESPN won't even recognize the skins as an undefeated team

i thought that they left the skins out because they had a bye week, and hadn't played three games (the chiefs play tonight). but i think it was just a combination of laziness and sloppiness on espn's part.

If not getting any love from the media means we keep winning...then let them hate us.

I'm with Warmother. I like it when they dis us, consider it motivation or whatever but we are winning and that is all I care about.

Boomer also asked on ESPN coverage before the 1:00 games, if the other braodcasters could choose 2 undefeated teams that would not make the playoffs, who would they be; and to pick 2 teams that were winless to potentially make the playoffs.
This was all before yesterday's games were played, mind you...
Not that I was suprised, but each and every one of them were adament that of the undefeated teams, the Giants could go either way, but the Redskins would absolutely not be in. Like I said, it didn't suprise me too much, and in fact, I kind of got a laugh from it - the whole media hates the Skins so much that they won't give us any credit this whole year. The way it seems, the Skins could end up 10-6, and the media would still be saying that the team is terrible.
We'll show them.

I could care less. I hope everyone forgets the Redskins...all the way to 16-0!
Coming back to reality......
If the media overlooks the Redskins, I really don't care. If they do, maybe other teams will as well.
They do so at their own peril.

To be completely honest with you guys. I remember the media dissing us for as long as I can remember. Of course there were some media guys here and there that liked us. But I remember Superbowl 22 pretty well. We had this rookie running back who had never started before and therefore we wouldn't have a running game. You can't possibly win a superbowl without a running game or so the media said. So we were dissed pretty hard on that one. Our running back did ended up averaging about 10 yards a carry. I think that is still a record in the superbowl. We also blew them out in a way that has never been done before or ever done since. Five touchdowns in 5:53 of game time........maybe it was 6:08. I can't remember for sure. Not even Johnny Unitas, Peyton Manning, or Dan Marino accomplished something like that. I know Peyton got close a few years ago against Tampa Bay, but the clock ran out before he could try for the 5th touchdown.
So if they want to keep dissing us; let 'em. I'm used to it. I just wish they wouldn't let their bias keep someone like Art Monk out of the Hall of Fame. They really need to let it go when its something like that.

Good news are that the media will continue to hate/ignore us for a LONG whil. This is good for motivation.
The bad news are that other coaches and staff know better than go to a game by what Sports Illustrated or other commentators say on TV. They take us VERY seriously.
As far as I am concerned, Washington is one of those tough teams feared but not recognised much. Jaguars come to mind too.
