I don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but the bears are stompin' a mudhole in the lions right now. I thought the "experts" said this team was going to be a bottom feeder becuase of their "anemic" offense.

Shows how much they know.

my thoughts exactly. Although they have scored a TD on special teams and defense. Orton does look pretty good, especially for a rook. Hard to say how good the Lions offense is after they barely scored against a horrible GB defense, but the Bears defense is dominating them.

In case yall aren't checkin the scores, Chicago hung up 31 in the first half against Detroit, and as of right now the score is 37-6, with most of the 4th quarter to play.

I know Detroit isn't much, but for Fat Lenny and all those who were saying that Washington's win last week didn't matter because of who we were playing, this proves them wrong. Our D held them to a single score (off a fumble), and our Offense put up more points, as of now, than the so called "offense of the future" that includes first round picks in 3 receivers, a funning back and a QB.

I think Chicago's performance this week proves that our Skins are worth more than most are saying about them.

That's what I want to believe too. I'm watching the Ravens game, I'll take our QB problems over theirs.

I posted a thread titled "Beware the Bears" before y'all played them. Guess I should have posted on the Lions board instead!

I just read the play-by-play, and it was the Bear's defense that was responsible for the score. Or maybe I should say Joey H., since they intercepted him 6 times, I believe.

Orton was ok, but unspectacular, which is all you need when your defense gets 6 interceptions.

Maybe we'll see the Skins again in January. :D

Somehow, some reporter will discredit us over his. Somehow.

That's exactly what scared me when we played the Bears last week. I knew their defense would be formidable and I knew Ramsey was good for, at least, 1-2 INTs.

Luckily, we handled them defensively and snuck out with a win.

Now.....on to Dallas!

Well, maybe Chicago got their offensive stuff together, or maybe Detroit (and thus, Green Bay) just really sucks hard.

I do think that aside from the QB position, the Redskins are a potential playoff team. If we could just get even mediocre-to-decent quality QB play (middle of the pack stats), we really should be very competitive. Unfortunately....

I think the point Justice is that we didn't 'sneak out with a win'. Everyone discounted that victory as luck or barely happening. But our defense held off a very capable offense, obviously. And we won the game and should get some sort of credit for it, though we won't in any national media sources eyes. And to top it off our offense should also get a little credit for putting up enough points to win and really moving the sticks on a team that can actually be a play making defense.

Just another fine performance by own "D" last week, a "D" I've read (in Wilpon) that deserves to be on a 12-4 team.

Glad you came back VARon. It seems I underestemated the Bears defense. Da Bears played us tight. Good game.
