The REAL STORY is about THE GAME this Monday night

AND that game will require the cohesion and fluid execution of 40+ Redskins players. I think the offensive line has the potential to dominate and thus give Portis and Betts room to pound. Scouts inc. wrote an article on ESPN bashing the O-line for 3 sacks last week. I say, this Monday night is a chance to shove the words in that column write up their turtle-head protrudin' backsides! :moon:

The article also stated that the cowpies "should" be able to pound Julius up the middle because Noble is out. Did they miss all of last season where G. Williams, Blache and Co. rotated about 50 people on defense and dominated all season? Like missing Noble will all of the sudden turn the D-line into a bunch of powder puffs? C'mon. Our defense has added Lavar and Daniels to the third best defense in the NFL last year and yet all I hear about is the Ravens defense, the Bucs defense, the "much improved" Vikings defense. Yeah right. :hmm: I think we as Redskins fans need to get absolutely pissed off at the total lack of respect from the media and voice our support for the Skins NOW!!! :rock: =D> :feedback;

Actually, the REAL story of the game is the induction of Aikman, Irvin and Smith into the Ring of Honor at halftime :up: -drinking

No, that would be the ring of "Yer honor," as in "Yer honor, I swear I never seen those drugs before!"

I think if we get up, we need to keep playing like were down by 14 or so instead of building up the fort walls.

See...they can't bash us for losing Smoot and Peirce anymore, so they have to find another reason to bash us. All offseason it been all about how we'll miss those two and how our defense will suffer, and now look. :shock: It's so easy to pick apart articles that lack proper research. These media people are given too much credit.

If the Redskins win..

On monday night I believe that good things will happen throughout the season, but if they lose they are going to have a crappy season. I know its only 1 loss, but this would be a loss that they cant afford because the week after they have a bye week. They need to beat Dallas to make a statment not to just Dallas, but to the NFL in general and all the media that doubt them.[/b]

While I agree that a win would be huge for this team, especially as a motivational thing, I don't think a loss will mean they're going to have a "crappy season". I don't like the idea of going into the bye week with a loss...but if that is the case, I'm sure this team will overcome it.

That being said, I'd sure as hell prefer going into the bye week with a big ol' win against those Cowpukes...as would most of us.

yeah, a 2-0 start would be gigantic for this team. If they loose it won't result in a crappy season but i its a trend of loosing by the 4th game, were done. 1-3 start would take away all realistic playoff chances.

Gibbs knows

I wouldn't worry too much if we lose, Gibbs knows its a 16 game season. 2 wins or 1-1, eihter way, we only make the playoffs by winning 9-10 games.

On another note, I think Gibbs will suprise us with some very unconservative offense at times Monday night. I bet there will be some ace up his sleeve. Maybe Sean Taylor on a deep pass or a flea flicker, a fake FG etc. Mark my words :up:
