Why FOX why???

Has anyone else had continuous problems with FOX 5 during Redskins games? There is a constant buzzing sound and I can barely turn the TV volume up enough to hear the game, let alone turn on the surround sound. This happened last year before I moved as well and it happens on every TV in my house. Is this my local cable problem or are others having this trouble too?

do you have two separate contols for volume? if you turn up your cable box volume all the way, and then use your TV remote (the one that came with your tv, not the cable thing) to control actual volume, the buzzing should go away.

Thanks for the reply, but there is no cable box. Our TV's are cable ready and the Cable just plugs straight into the TV. TV volume is only option I have when surround is off.. Still constant buzzing.

I've got a better solution. Turn the volume on mute and turn on Sonny and Sam on the radio. You'll thank me for it.

I thought my reciever was going bad, thanks for posting this, the surround sound is all rear speakers and can't hear the announcers. I love sonny and sam but they need to put that on a delay to match the tv, I can't stand the 10 seconds ahead they are.

this year they have been better, i listened to them all through the preaseson and against the bears, and they were pretty good about keeping it constant. i think only once was it ahead, and that was that near interception by matt bowen near the end of the game.

I was watching in HD and it was well ahead of the video, I just watched for about a minute and had to switch.

I would LOVE to put on Sonny and Sam, I used to listen to them back home, but now I am up in Western, MD (Cumberland area) at school and cannot pickup any sports stations but.. ugh Stealers.
Hey doroshjt are you having the same problem? Is it just when you use surround sound or does it happen with TV volume too?
I think I'm just gonna call my cable company tomorrow and bitch for a little while.. maybe they've been getting calls about this already.

It was clearly evident in surround sound and when I switched stereo it still sounded crappy but not as bad as in surround sound. The commercials and the JB game breaks sounded fine to me.

And here I thought the problem was in my $17.99 rabbit ears.
Yeah, turning on the radio is a good option.

doroshjt-
I am having a problem with my HD as well. I just moved and got the TV set up just in time for MNF last night. The entire game in HD the TV would flicker. Is this similar to the problem you were having? We called our provider and they are coming out on Thursday to take a look.
