What worries you most about Monday Night?

It's Dallas week, and like every single Dallas week for the past 5 years I've thought that the Skins have a better than 50% chance of winning (in part because I now constantly believe that we're due).
That being said, there are always things that worry me. During the Spurrier era it was that he wouldn't run Stephen Davis enough (but he never did, IMO. . . .or when he did it was far too predictable and defenses ate it up). With Marty it was that our team wouldn't pull through in the clutch, as he teams have a tendency to do. Under Gibbs last year it was that things simply wouldn't click for us.
This week, I am most worried that Dallas' veteran quarterback is going to dismantle our defense just enough to let the Cowboys (possibly) win. Remember last year? Everything was under control, they were driving at the end of the game but our D was still looking okay. Vinny drops back, looks Sean Taylor off, looks Sean Taylor off, and throws the winning TD. I am worried that something similar will happen to us with Bledsoe.
This isn't to say that we will lose. . .I think we've got a 75% chance of winning this Monday. But if anything worries me, that's what it is. (I'm not too worried at all, for instance, about Julius Jones).

I'm worried about our Special Teams. It seemed to be our weakest area Sunday. And you need Special Teams to play well, it just effects too much (field position) if they don't.

I would say with Hall down, Special Teams as well. I think a lot of things can be worked out this week but this game will probably be close and we'll need a clutch kicker.

LOL, I think you
must be excited, because you are seeing things! I don't think anyone said Sunday, except in reference to yesterday.

It was the old Subject line of the thread. 'Cept I corrected it when Red said something. Now he looks like an idiot. Unless he edits his post. Then you and I look like idiots. It's a never ending cycle.
I'm going to go ahead and blame it on me being sick. Yeah, that'll cover it.

Yeah, I've long gotten over that, too. So I guess the cycle stops with us.

Patrick Ramsey. If he plays I'm worried. He struggles to handle the pressure of a pre-season game. Monday night could be a total nightmare with Patrick in the game.

When you major in philosophy, you have to get used to that too (unfortunately). I think the idea is to get you to the point where (a) you realize how much smarter everyone is than you, and (b) you realize how little of a difference you're probably going to make in the world. Then they work you up from there. . .(I'll tell you when I hit that part. . .and I'm a senior. . .so hopefully it will happen sometime soon . . .

)
I mean. . .but back on topic. . .(dang, I can't pull a BTP here. . .)

Well, Plato wrote it. . .but Socrates (probably) said it. . .
I just hope that our running game clicks before the second half. It'd be good to get Portis rolling early and often.

turnovers - they cost us many games last year
with our struggles in the passing game, we can ill afford to lose the turnover battle
if we break-even or have a positive turn-over ratio = we win

i'm most worried about the offense, obviously. if brunell plays, i think we'll get crushed, somewhere in the vicinity of 28-6.

Im worried about alot of things in this game. Dallas looked really really good against the chargers. We gotta convert red zone opportunities into TD's instead of FG's

I agree with this completely. If Brunell starts on Monday we are in big trouble. To be able to win this game I think that we're going to have to score at least 17 points and there is absolutely no chance of that with Brunell at qb. Dallas will simply stack the line against us because nobody in their right mind would be concerned about Brunell making plays down field, and as a result Portis and Betts will have no room to run. Our defense is very good but there were some holes in the secondary against Chicago and without blitzing the pass rush was rather dismal. So to have a chance at this game we're going to have to put some td's on the board and the only way we can do that is with Patrick starting.[/quote]
