..how fired up Corny Griffin and Joe Salavea get? MAN, those guys get worked up. When Ramsey went down with the injury and they kept showing the replay on the jumbotron, Sa'lavea and Corny Griffin were clearly PISSED!!! Did anyone else catch that?

I wasn't there but I loved the way that our defense reacted. They started to hit really hard from that point on.

Agreed. They looked like they were out for blood.

It's obvious that team chemistry is a lot higher than in recent years.

I thought it was great when...after Patrick got hurt, while our fans were still booing the call our D led by Corny start firing up the crowd as if to say “we got this” great job by the D!!!

There definitely was an air of 'how long is this BS going to happen' in the stadium. The section up where I was was just going off. It seemed to get everyone going everytime the D got their hands up trying to get the crowd involved.

Big 12th man factor yesterday.

My question is they were hitting hard especially that next series. The pass over the middle where they samwiched Mohammed. Clearly to me it was a fumble 2 feet and a football move was made, but how did 3 skins not recover, somehow Mushin got it back.

I may be thinking about another play but I think they ruled that an incompletion. Total crap, too. They didn't go back to the long middle again.

No he didn't. But, it was ruled incomplete, so that is really a moot point.

Yeah, I was at the other side of the stadium and those guys were just plain pissed. You could see it from about 90 yards away.......I can only imagine what it must have been like 9 feet away. I so badly wanted to see that Bear quarterback get a cheap shot too. Honestly, I'm pissed off that they didn't return the favor.

Did anyone else see that linebacker dancing around after that cheap shot? They really did need to return that favor orton.

Actually my beef with that play is that the ref did NOT rule it incomplete until after the Redskin's recovered it. It seemed that the refs were definitely against us for some reason yesterday.

Yeah I saw the guys on d getting fired up BUT that guy was also "dancin'" around and to just hear about a fine this week is just wrong. If we are going to look after the QB then plays like this need to be called.

The NFL seems to let things like this go against us! Something should be done during the game when a ref misses a call! That is why we have replay - show that play and the celebration and kick him off the field! That is not right to just fine his (you know what) the next week! We could have lost a QB!

And thats why we should have closed lined orton too! Since the Refs didn't take care of us we had to take care of us!!! We needed to kill that dang quarterback by any means necessary. Then maybe just maybe the league would look at it a little bit more seriously next time.

I'm so pissed that they didn't get him back.

What are you talking about? They cheap shotted our quarterback and we should have cheap shotted their quarterback.

ITS CALLED GETTING EVEN.

Oh, they got him back allright....by winning the game and stuffing their passing attack. They "got him back" in the form of making Orton face a 3rd and 38, knocking them out of field goal range. And, for the ULTIMATE payback, my man Corny Griffin knocked the snot out of him in the last minute of the game and recovered the fumble. THAT, to me, is the best way of getting back at them. To clothes line Orton, or to do something that isn't legal, would almost certainly result in a 15 yard penalty which could determine the outcome of the game. While it would have been nice to see some kind of payback in that regard, I'll definitely settle for letting our teams Defense's play on the field be any necessary payback.

i was in the UL looking down on that play and i think everyone was shocked that no flag was thrown. Plus that was right after the refs robbed us of a TD. The only good thing that came of all that was the crowd was really fired up from that point on ...

anyway, does anyone know if that guy from the bears has been fined or is there usually a few day lag?

I believe that fines are assessed mid-week, and often aren't publicized unless it was a a hit that the media was all over. (I could be wrong, though). We should hear something about it.

I agree with JP. I don't want our defense to be known for returning cheap shots when we take them. It should be an 'us against the world' mentality, whereby we play hard within the rules. I honestly don't believe that Ramsey was clotheslined on purpose, I think the way the LB came flying in (he was being pushed as he came in) just naturally caused it. No flag thrown, and that hurts, but you have to love the way that our defense responded.

If we can respond to anything by playing even harder within the rules, then no team can stop us. If we just try and get good at delivering cheap shots, then the refs are just going to throw yellow flags all over the place.

the refs are always against us...dallas last year? i think there is a gif on one of these threads that CLL put up, clearly helmet ot helmet from one of the most notorious guys for doing that. you'd think they'd be on top of it, but i guess not?

for the first time i heard the crowd really get into it, and i was listening to sonny n sam and they kept remarking how loud it was. i can't wait to be there for that, it's been a long time coming. let's keep it up!!!

I was there for my first game ever (dream come true) and I agree, the team chemistry was great.

Bad calls will be made, but I am so proud of how our team handled it, worked together, and played even harder. Despite the turnovers and the "rely on defense and kickers" type of win echoing last season, our players earned and deserved that win.

One thing, I don't understand why TV/media and some fans focus on all the booing of Patrick when he made yet another interception. I was in the crowd, and those boos were nothing compared to the intensity of the boos after Patrick was unfairly hit and injured.

I was in the North End Zone and there were some stuffy fans behind us but even they were on their feet in the last quarter fired up. It was TOTALLY awesome how loud it got, how pumped the defense was, and alas, accurate in obtaining blood and revenge, so much so that we caused the Bears to false-start three times. The cheers just got louder. Totally awesome. How great it is to be a Skins fan in this life.

I loved every second of it!! They were definately fired up, I thought they were going to have to be restrained from the refs lol. We responded with a hell of a lotta noise. I gotta say that yesterday might of been as loud as I have ever heard it in FEDEX.

That is what everyone is saying! What a total honor to be there in the middle of such rowdy riled up Skins players and fans for my first game.

The section I was in was cheering because apperently they were Brunell fans. One guys words were, "They just got us to the playoffs." Personally I was pissed and the thought of closelining the annoying and vocal bears fan behind me crossed my mind.
