I think it's interesting that the Champ issue keeps coming up... and Wingman came up with what I think is a really good solution. It had nothing to do with the Champ thread, but it certainly lends itself to it.

What if we had like a faceoff with DEHog on one side and skinsfaninroanoke on the other. We could set up a day and time, and everybody could come and watch these two battle it out on the message board in almost like a debating forum.

We could set word totals instead of time totals... and we peanut gallery wouldn't be allowed to do anything but heckle.

You guys have bantied it back and forth and never got close to agreeing and I can't see that as anything but awesome. I hope that all opinions are welcome here and I value everyone's integrity.

I just think it would be kind of neat to,
a) have 2 educated football fans having a conversation that has no chance of getting personal (these guys have been the utmost of professionals about it)
b) give a chance for ALL the people to get it out of their system... I'm sure these 2 will cover everything you can think of

Then we'd also have the 'after' rule that everybody EXCEPT these two could then discuss the topic. I've had it with Champ talks myself, but I know it's a popular subject.

What do you guys think?

Heck if it goes well, we could make it a more regular occurrence.

well I'm open to suggestions on anything about it. We figured we'd have like a graphic or something at the top of the board that said DEHog vs. skinsfaninroanoke (Rich) and the date and the topic. Rich is staff but we weren't thinking of it being staff neccessarily, in fact we thought if it weren't staff, it'd be nice for people to kind of see themselves 'in lights'.

I wouldn't want to overdo it, and I would probably almost have to just pick my spots and invite the participants or we'll be having them daily

But I'd hope that whomever was in these 'debates' would take it seriously and gather notes and stats and examples and shtuff like that... we'd want it to be top-drawer football conversation. You can get, 'No, it's not.' anywhere.

yep. i liked boars nest brawl, but that dosen't have "hog" in it. 'hog tied' is the best i can come up with..... kinda like they'll be tied up in the midst of things. i guess that has my vote....'hog tied'

Oh man I got it!!! SCRAPPLE...for those of you that don't know what scrapple ia it what left over after they slaugther the pig they take and make scrapple it's a breakfast thing. It big here in Penn and Delaware

How about "Oink, Counter-Oink" for a title.
