I don't know who that is, but he sounded ok on the radio. I can't remember the last time I heard someone sing the anthem with a recorded track though.

I honestly thought Firestone did really well. I didn't know he could sing. All I remember him from were his days at ESPN and his appearance on an episode of Everybody Loves Raymond.

The guy who sang at the Ravens game was Lee Greenwood. He sings "I'm Proud To Be An American" but sounded awful singing the anthem last night.

Greenwood sang (lip-synched to a track) at FedEx Field on 9/30/01 before the Skins first home game since 9/11 happened.

Since I'm just a little bit older than the 'average' poster on here, let me proffer up my recollection of Roy Firestone. Growing up as a young kid in Los Angeles, I watched Channel 2 news, which featured Connie Chung as the lead anchor person at 6pm, and it had a young sportscaster by the name of Roy Firestone. He went on to CBS, then to ESPN, then I guess, to a singing career. I thought he was woefull. And, I hate it when they're only half way through the National Anthem when the flyover comes whizzin by.

Well, as I said, I heard it on the radio, and did not see it on tv, but he sounded fine to me. If it matters, I did major in music in college, so I do have some idea what I'm talking about.

He reminded me of Bill Murray's lounge singer character from Saturday Night Live.

Being a musician myself, I thought he did a fine job. He's not the best singer I've ever heard to be sure; however, he wasn't too bad either.

I also didn't think he did that bad of a job...
