Ramsey's the starter.
Mark's the back up and will be solid if called upon.
Jason is a project.
This was the case last month this will be the case next month. It's only the 3rd quarter slow down on the JJ

If Mark is called on in week 5 or 6 then he will be the starter at that time. Today Patrick Ramsey is the starter.

Lets be honest Brunell currently gives us the best chance at winning football games. I feel that Joe Gibbs is looking for the right way to get Brunell into the starting roll. Brunell was a former Pro Bowl QB who had a injury and did not look good at all last year, but this preseason he has looked like that Pro Bowl QB. Loyalties aside Brunell has looked better then Ramsey and somehow Gibbs needs to find a way of getting Brunell on the field without upsetting team chemistry. To go on record I wanted Brunell to resign this offseason, but I was wrong, now I think he is our best hope of putting a winning team on the field.

Right now Ramsey is the starter. I think Brunell is a much better back up than Ramsey. I want the best of both worlds. Neither is a good sarting QB but right now Ramsey is the starting QB because Gibbs thinks he's better than Brunell - case closed.
If Brunell is the starter then we do not have a good back up for the day when we need a good back up. And just like judgement day and taxes, that day will come.
Good luck Ramsey dont get distacted by any shiny grills.

I see that I DO have some Skins fans with me in the tailgate.
Ummmmm....do you smell what Brunell is cookin'.
Hey guys, quit hoggin' all the drinks, and pass "The Redeemed One" another cold one. 1%, please.
Yes, that grill is nice, isn't it?
Go inside to the HOF store and get your #8 jersey. Then meet us at the parking lot, section "B8".

If Ramsey's play forces his replacement for game 5, then I will be a fairweather jumpin' on the ship. I want the team to win. I want Ramsey to win. If he can't get it done, I want Brunell to win. If he can't get it done, I wan't Campbell to win.
But I will say this; I have yet to see Brunell against any opposing teams' starters, and I have see Ramsey play against some of the tougher defenses in the NFL. Ramsey is our man - and as long as he's not losing games for us, I will remain one of the "Ramsey-Junta" as one of our friends so commonly refers to it as.

Look...I'm going with Ramsey right now because I think he has the tools. He just needs to get his head right and actually get a good chance to show what he can do.
That being said I am very happy that the old Brunell may have risen from the dead. I feel alot more comfortable knowing that we have possibly the best backup QB in the league. If Gibbs pulls the trigger and goes with Brunell at some point this season he will have my support then.
Right now though I feel that Ramsey deserves the same
consideration Brunell had last year. I personally think that Ramsey will get better each and every game.
And I'm not wearing a QB jersey...ever. Defense baby! I want Washington's spectacular 53!

Gibbs' Hog, you had me rollin' when you wrote:...as long as he's not losing games for us, I will remain one of the "Ramsey-Junta" as one of our friends so commonly refers to it as.
That's cute. I like the name.
As for...Gibbs' Hog wrote:REDEEMEDSKIN wrote:Look, all I'm sayin' is I don't want no fairweathers jumpin' on this ship come week 5 when Mark is called in to start.

All I'm sayin' is that there's been a lotta hatin' on Brunell, even though he's been the best Redskins QB this entire pre-season. This is an opportunity for those who wholly support Brunell, through thick and thin.
It doesn't revoke membership to the "Ramsey Junta", but it allows the opportunity for people to "come out" and say they like Brunell. Many have feared to do so, since he was baptized "noodle arm" a year ago. He's long since proven that assessment wrong, and he's making those of us who supprt him plenty happy.
BTW - Someone please forward this to Coach Gibbs, so he can add himself to the tailgate.
BACK TO THE FESTIVITIES...
Who ordered the Bratwurst??? It's ready.

No, that's not from us...
Apparently, the "Ramsey Junta" is trying to crash the party by burning tires two spaces down.
They'll do anything to distract the fans from Ramsey's "Woeful" (to borrow a term thrown around here) performances.

I don't favor the Steve Spurrier "revolving QB's" method, and I don't see the games.
Last year, I wondered how Brunell could have deteriorated so quickly.
Maybe he was hurt, but now he's recovered. I don't know.
Joe Gibbs has selected Ramsey as the starter, so Joe gets to cast my vote. He studies the films, he watches the players. If he makes a change, it will be after serious deliberation.
However, it is long past time that people stopped booing Brunell.
(Oh, and when they get the urge to scream abuse at young Jason C., they should stow the urge. Rookie QB's make mistakes)

You are absolutely right, welch. Here in the #8 tailgate, we don't hate nor discriminate against Ramsey. We hope he succeeds. His success means more success for the team. All our welcome under the tent, "Junta" members and "Mark-ites" alike. While you're standing there...
Can you please pass the ketchup? You hit the nail on the head when you wrote:..it is long past time that people stopped booing Brunell.
Indeed. Just let it go, and go with the flow. Please, have a burger...or two. Good times all around.

I'll consider it when Brunell considers throwing right-handed.

By week 3 last year I was begging for Ramsey, but let's face it, he's just not very good. Last year Brunell was horrible and the change to Ramsey was the right thing to do. This year Brunell is not the same player, he is clearly the better qb. I do believe that Gibb's has no choice to start the season with Ramsey, but if Ramsey struggles, not only will he be replaced as the starter for the Redskins, he will probably never be a starter anywhere. I hope the best for Patrick, but I am not a believer. With solid quarterbacking I think we could win 9 or 10 games. It is quite a dilemma.

I meant for Brunell to improve. Although, he hasn't looked bad this preseason.
Nope, never tried it but I do love the grill.
