I remember last year before the last preseason game vs the falcons Gibbs said Brunell was going to be the QB, tomorrow is the last game and Gibbs has't said anything about the QB situation, do you guys think he wants to take a last look at Ramsey and Brunell?, I really don't think so because they especially Ramsey won't play to long.

Last year there was a competition that needed clarification.
This year there isnt a competition so there is no need for clarification.

Gibbs already has answered this...last december. Ramsey is the starter. Though he has made several mistakes so far in the preseason, he has gotten better each game. When the games start to count, if Ramsey can't produce he will be replaced. But as for the season opener, Ramsey is the proclaimed starter and Gibbs choice.

I'd give both Ramsey and Brunell a quarter and let Campbell have the whole second half. We can't afford injuries to the first two. I think Gibbs will get them out quick. I think he will get the whole first team out quick. I hope he's settled on Betts and Broughton and gets them out too. Let Rock have the second half. I don't care about a win here, frankly. I care about the season and taking a long look at guys that may have to be cut, as well as giving Campbell some action--it may be the last real action he sees this year.

I started to think that too, but I think THE RAM's question really had to do with whether or not Ramsey will see much playing time. It's the last preseason game, we don't want Ramsey to get hurt, we'd like to have some more looks at both Brunell and Campbell, etc.
I think THE RAM was asking which of these is the more likely scenario:
1) Don't play Ramsey, except for maybe 1 series, in order to rest him and let him focus on the season opener. Also, get more looks at our other QBs, as they will not see playing time in the regular season (most likely) for at least a couple of games and possibly the entire year.
or
2) Play Ramsey - maybe Gibbs has seen what we all have seen: Ramsey's improvements from game to game. Gibbs may want to play Ramsey for a whole quarter, or possibly even a half, so that he can see more improvements and/or things ramsey will need to work on before Da Bears game.
We all know Ramsey is the starter. How long do you think he'll play tonight?

Ramsey is the starter. Hopefully, the starting offense will get an early drive or two going so we can get them out of the game. We'll probably see Ramsey a little longer if they start slow. I'm pretty sure the coaches will be looking for one or two solid drives as a last tune-up for next week.

One quarter, max, for Ramsey. We've seen a steadily improving timing with both Moss and Patten. I think Ramsey still needs to trust Moss' speed more and, when there's no safety playing center field, to just let it fly and let Moss go get it.
But then again, Ramsey hasn't had a burner like that since he's been here.

I think Joe wants to get a good look at both Qbs. He certainly wants to see Patrick manage the game well, and cut out the turnovers from his game. Playing against the Raisins won't be an easy task for Patrick, but it will definitely provide an opporunity to display his talents against one of the league's best Defenses, and finally give Joe a little rest from the anxiety he probably feels whenever Ramsey holds onto the ball too long.
I certainly hope we see more Brunell than Ramsey tonight, both for Ramsey's protection (from injury) and for the value of my recently-purchased #8 jersey to increase.

I think he's gotta go with Ramsey for a quarter, Brunell for a quarter, and I would like to see Campbell for the whole second half.

I'd like to see Campbell with the starters, but if Coach Gibbs is smart (and he is), he won't fuel the fans with that site, otherwise our fans of little faith will be chanfor Campbell if Ramsey makes any mistake during the regular season.

I am having a hard time understanding the QB decision with Ramsey as the starter. Clearly, Brunell has outperformed Ramsey during the preseason. I know, Brunell looked awful last year but if that was because of an injury we need to understand this. Based on what I have seen the competition hasn't been close - IMO starting Brunell seems like an easy decision. JG has forgotton more about football than I will ever know and I trust him to make the right decision so help me - what am I missing.
